A Sort Of Anniversary

I was checking "My Stories" to see if anybody had read one today. I do this infrequently, not as if I'm anal-retentive, usually only once a day (OK, twice a day) and there was a "run" on the first piece I ever dared to publish on BC. Twelve reads!! What's going on? I wondered. Then I was scrolling down and I'm in the Jewel Box for a year ago. My first effort, a year ago already.
This is a lovely site and I just want to say that it has made my last year and a bit so much more enjoyable. Thank you Erin and everybody else on the administrative team. The features here (like the Jewel Box) are much superior to any of the other sites I visit occasionally and the inhabitants of BC are nice people.
I have made some really, really good friends here and, of course, I love the stories. I won't pick out any authors or I'll miss someone. I think you will know who you are anyway. I hope my comments help to keep you writing and I'm getting all emotional so I'll stop while I can still see the keyboard,
Hugs All Round,
Joanne

Happy post-it anniverary.

hugs,

Angharad.

PS.I notice they've stopped including 'Bike' in the jewel box, I think a few readers starved to death while reading the back numbers.

Flys

Post-it?

Are you suggesting that Jo's story was written on a flys?

Shame on you.

Well done Jo. You now join the ranks of the year+ members :)

Happy Anniversary!

And Angharad, Bike is still showing up in the Jewel Box. It's just that when you started, there were only five or six stories posted most days. About this time last year that average went up to ten or twelve so you have to be watching at the right time of day now to see the Bike go by. :)

Hugs,
Erin

You should patent that Angharad. As I said, I'm not anal-retentive, so I did a quick calculation on the fasting effect of your serial (cereal?). At ten minutes reading time per chapter, it would require just about three days non-stop reading time to go from start to current chapter. Allow eight hours per day for sleep amd ablution time and we're up to four days. Include for reading the comments and I reckon you could prevent the ingestion of food for a week. Better than Atkins and much more enjoyable,
