So, after a long time, I managed to get a story written, one or two paragraphs at a time, and with great nervousness. That nervousness has changed to abject fear and trepidation as I just posted it quickly, so I couldn't chicken out. Now the fear is looking at the comments.

Damn, but I'm pretty messed up emotionally right now. Messed up and fragile.

Comments

I must give it a read, Elrod

Take a few deep breaths and calm down.

You are being far too negative about yourself.

As to the critics? BAH HUMBUG!

I feel your pain

I know exactly how you feel. When I see a new comment I get excited and petrified at the same time. I'm sure everything will be great!

Read it....

...and enjoyed another Elrod classic. Hope a new one comes out soon.

Jus' dive in girl!

We're a friendly bunch on BC Elrod, so don't worry girl. Just dive in and enjoy. The vast majority of comments and observations are friendly, constructive and supportive. Erin does an amazing job of filtering out the really offensive remarks so it's a safe, friendly site.

Enjoy.

I'm very pleasantly surprised

I'm very pleasantly surprised by the overwhelming support I get from this board. It is very encouraging.

I'm also quiet surprised that no-one has commented on the way Natty 'answered' Jeff's question when they were at Fun Zone.

I don't get it? She just

I don't get it? She just give him a long kiss and I guess technically lied. Did I miss something?

Instead of answering

She did what he figured she wouldn't do if she'd been changed - she kissed him, and then asked if he thought she'd do that if she was changed. Jeff had just been changed, and hadn't been a girl long enough to get girl feelings - he wouldn't have kissed a boy during his short change. Natty was counting on her kiss convincing him that she hadn't. It was a cute setup to sidestep answering his question.

You rock

Ignore those commentors that are too close minded to recognise good fiction. It's a shame that someone who has contributed as much as you to the various tg sites has to worry about those individual detractors. I wish I had half your imagination and talent. People who want to take offense will always find a reason.

I agree

I totally agree with Waterdog.
