Hi all, I just wanted to take this moment to say I pray that you all are safe during these major storms rocking across the Midwest, Southwest, the South, Southeast and Eastern seaboard of the US. My heart goes out to Arkansas, where that State has had approx 20 persons killed, and millions and millions of dollars in damage done. Altho we see large storms this time of year; these have been majorily bad in all aspects. Take care and stay safe. Jan

It's very windy down here

It's very windy down here like 25-30 mph, on average winds with gusts much much higher (like 50-60 mph)and the clouds are alternating between black and gray. Fortunately I live further south than the majority of these storms, but it really wouldn't surprise me to see some tornado in the area. When I see thirty year old pecan trees tilting diagonally outside, I usually go check. Tornadoes suck.

Write the story that you most desperately want to read.

I'm just glad it quit snowing!

I can handle some rain, although there have been some wind damages and some power interuptions.Thunder storms are fun to watch from our porch, but we can do without tornados. Those are usually south of us, but we do get the occaisional bad storm. Lot of flooding here, but so far my house is safe. The Grand river runs right through Grand Rapids, and there are lots of folks with flood damage. We have rain forecast for a few days yet, which could create more problems.

I'm Okay :-)

The worst is over for us, even though we had two tornadoes in two days try to drop right into our yard (I took pictures of the first one as it tried to form, then spun itself out and moved north).

I saw Edeyn online earlier so I know she and more-than-likely Melanie (Rasufelle) are okay as well. The Gov declared a state of emergency for the entire state, though it looks like the worst is over for my area, so I'm in agreement with you for the others who have to still deal with this mess.

Arkansas Monsoon season started with a bang this year :-(
