I recently came across a “change” machine. Now really wanting to change, I eagerly put in my dollar. Nothing happened. For the better part of an hour I fed dollars to this damn machine. Still nothing happened. It was a complete rip off.

I also think I strained my back hauling fifty-two pounds of quarters back to my car.

What a Friday.

It is a long road ahead but I will finally become who I should be.

Wishes

Well, I do wish it was that easy. I also wish I had 52 pounds of quarters. That would be about $1,027.00!

It's just a silly, silly Friday. :)

Quite a humourous quip - BUT

Hi Connie,

I'm afraid FM beat you to the punch. One of the title pics on FM used this joke quite some time ago. It's still funny though.

Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.

A couple years back a humorist on Wait Wait Don't Tell Me -- a funny news based show on NPR, National Public Radio, check it out -- said she planned to wear a dress covered in coins for Halloween, she was going as Change We Can Believe In.

It was her joke, not mine. Stop hitting me !

As to vending machings and *change* the late Don Martin did a series of cartoons over the years at MAD Magazine and at least one had a man become a woman at a *change* machine.

I remember when I first saw it in Mad Magazine. Interestingly enough, it did not cause an epiphany, probably because…who would want to be changed into a Don Martin character?? No, the epiphany hit the first time I heard Lola by The Kinks…
