I have noticed the site has been slow for a few days, but then I do know there's a nasty DDOS going around, it must be the change in weather.

Having just logged on, I got this:

Notice: MemcachePool::getstats(): Server 169.197.80.86 (tcp 11211, udp 0) failed with: Connection timed out (110) in require_once() (line 19 of /var/www/html/bcmain/armoire/sites/all/modules/memcache/memcache-lock.inc).

I hope the elves can root out them thar gremlins!

BCTS is running a snails pace. My own server is bogging at the knees. The tech people said they were working on it. For how long? On my end this started over a week ago. I remember dial up being faster.
Hugs Penny, it's the gremlins in the systems and I bet they are laughing their unhuh off.

Possible Causes

There are any number of malcontents out there that could be connected to the world political situation in Ukraine, Israel, Turkey and other places.

A few days ago, my own computer took over an hour to boot and that prompted me to start looking for another one. Realistically that will have to wait until 2024.

Try 'our end' first ...

(While this does 'look like' a BCTS issue...)

Close up what we're doing, and then do a complete power-down and reboot of our machines. Heck, all of our servers and modems, also. Leave them 'cold' for at least 10 seconds.

Try at least two browsers (there lots of free ones, most 'work alike'). Also try a coupla other sites, to see if they are also slow.

While this sounds like a lot of work on our end ... nobody wants a problem resolution of PEBKAC - Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair.

Computers are like humans, in that we both need "R & R".

For humans, Rest and Relaxation.
For Computers, Reboot and Retry.

Good luck to all involved & maybe this helps >when< there's a Next Time.
