Heya folks!
So, I just posted a WIP of a project I'm in the middle of: The BigCloset User Guide. I'm hoping to make it the ultimate one-stop shop for information on site features and story posting best practices.

What I have out is *maybe* 1/2 of what the guide will ultimately be, but part of creating a document like this is getting user feedback on the value of the information provided.
If you have anything you'd like to see talked about in such a guide, let me know so that I can add it or expand upon it if it's something you think is under-explained.

This is one to start with
It might be me but... creating a Book page and then getting it in your list of books always seems rather miss than hit. If I create a page and can't associate a chapter with it, frustration sets in. (yes, it is probably my incompetence as well)
These days, I rarely try to do this and merely link subsequent chapters to the first one.
A clear idiots guide including if we have to wait for things to propagate etc would be useful.

You wouldn't believe how many people struggle with the outlining tools :)
They're not difficult once you get the hang of them, but they have a LOT of little ways they can go wrong.

I actually read the user's guide over breakfast this morning. I have been around for a good five or six years now, and I still found out some things from it, so that was useful!
I liked the tone too. It made me smile,which lotsof "instruction books" don't do.
A great start Melanie. Thank you for the effort! Could I suggest that when it's finished, you post a link to it at the top of the " Announcement" column. I think that it should be the easiest thing for a new user to find!
