I always invite fans to write the forewords but in the case of "Heroes" I did invite Joyce Melton herself (my publisher and sometime collaborator) to write it, because the whole concept was her idea. Her touching note reveals that she too, is a fan.
My 21st book has the them of "times past" and Ron Houston has written the foreword. Ron is very interested in history as his foreword will reveal, so watch out for that book later in the month.
But now I fear that I am running out of fans so I am requesting somebody who thinks they might qualify to raise a hand and be ready to write the next foreword for next month's book. The theme is interesting - "imposters". I think that this volume contains some of the most interesting plotlines I have come up with. I will supply the stories for the foreword writer to read, although some have already been posted here. Anybody who is familiar with my work is bound to enjoy the early access to this coming anthology.

I do enjoy some of your stories and look out for your postings. OTOH not all of them push my buttons but you do generally write something in proper English for which I’ll forgive a holy plot!.

Fans are those who look out for my stuff. I try not to write to a formula so I do not expect people to love everything.
