”So,” Dr. Holly Marten said excitedly to everyone, “I was talking to Bobbi C just a few minutes ago…”

Douglas Fargo looked at her skeptically, one eyebrow raised. “Really,” he said dryly. “You just talked to Bobbi C.”

“Yes, I did, you doof,” she said, and elbowed him.

“Okay, I’ll bite,” Fargo said. “What did she say?”

“She said that the finale for her serial, ’Eureka: The Day’s Not Over, Yet,’ is coming! I’m excited!”

“But that’s not for over a week yet, right?”

“No - she said she’s accelerating the posting of the episodes: episode 10 will be in three days, and then episode 11 will be in two, and then the finale will be on the following day!”

“Ahhh! Just in time for the contest deadline!”

“Yes, but also because some people have been commenting if she can hurry up with the posts.”

“Coolness.”

“She’s a bit sad, though…”

“Why?”

“The readership and the Kudos votes have been falling steadily. Not much, like a few Kudos points per ep. But it’s been steady.”

“Well, that’s typical,” Fargo nodded, “almost all continuing stories experience a fall-off in readership as each instalment is posted.”

“She knows that. That’s why she’s asking if you guys can help stem the decline.”

“No problem,” Jack said. “Count me in.”

“Me, too,” Allison said. “I’ll click that Kudos Button.”

“Me, too,” Jenna said.

“What’s a kudos?” little Kimmy asked, and everyone laughed.

“Me, I’ll definitely hit that Kudos button," Kevin said. "The lead character’s pretty hot.”

“Hey!” Jack said, and lightly hit him on the shoulder. Everyone laughed.

“Great!” Holly said. “So if you want to read the serial, click this button for the organizer page, and be sure to hit the kudos button for each episode.”

Kudos

Who knew? I'm old enough that I was able to literally surf the -entire- Internet in a day. You know, before ARP allowed you to send an email without knowing the entire exact computer to computer path? I guess I'm not quite as computer literate as I believed myself to be. Sigh....

Consider yourself kudo'd

Steve

I always kudo

and I try to always comment on all the stories I read. So far I have,

While I may not comment much

I am very generous with that Kudos button when I read a story.

As a fan of that TV show I have to say that I think you did an awesome job keeping the story true to the types of hi-jinx that we watched every week while the TV show aired. Your characterization, the way they react to situations, all spot on.

I have to wonder if the show would have had writers like you if it would have lasted a season or two longer :)

We the willing, led by the unsure. Have been doing so much with so little for so long,
We are now qualified to do anything with nothing.

The end is nigh!

The end is nigh!

But it's raining kudos, so it's all good!

Kris

{I leave a trail of Kudos as I browse the site. Be careful where you step!}
