I came across this BBC article about the UK's "Child Exploitation and Online Protection centre" which is somewhat similar to Allie Burns' department.

Perhaps, one day, we will see Allie visiting the UK?

The Protector

I'd love to see Allie Burns back in business in any capacity. As much as I enjoy the COEDS series I miss Allie being a central character in a tale by Julie O .......... Allie and little Beth made a great team, going after degenerates who exploit and abuse the innocent. I see potential material for a Protector story in this article about a real-life agency division (?) very similar to Allie's- right down to the windowless room full of computers (which I guess is no coincidence, I'm sure Julie O. did her research). The idea of tracing the whereabouts of a child victim using clues in the background of these atrocious photographs could be a very effective part of the story's plot....... Julie's gonna write what she's moved to write, I read and enjoy it all, don't wanna be a pesky nagging fan; but I do have my favorite characters. Illiona Blefescu (see, it's been so long I forgot her name!) is another I'd like to see more from one of these days. (Hmmmmmm.... what if Evil Margo used
her time in prison to learn witchcraft, which she used to escape, and it took the whole pantheon
of heroines from both the magical and non-magical stories to- NAAAAAAW!!)
~~~hugs, LAIKA
If you don't her stories and are curious as to what I'm talking about, The Protector and Change of Course series' would be a good place to start. Or Turbulence if you're into magic. They're not capital-L Literature, just fun adventure fare with loveable characters and a lot of heart...
(Hmmmmmm, I just checked. The complete Protector series is on Stardust. For Change of Course
it looks like you'd have to go to Fictionmania. Worth the trip...)
The timing of this is strange.
The timing of this is strange. On CSI Miami 4/21/08 they had a person who was running stings on child predators using the internet who was also a child predator.
The whole program was about someone killing child predators who use the internet. The dead men were identified as men who were stung by a TV show that stings these child predators. The person who doing the online chat for the TV station was a guy. This guy was caught in the end by Horatio Cain at the home of a teenage girl making a hook up.
CSI Miami Episode
Paula (or anyone else who can help)
Quoting an episode date isn't much help to anyone from Europe, because series are often delayed over here.
Can anyone help with a series/episode number for this, or a plot synopsis, so I don't miss it in the UK?
Thanks,
wyrm
