Okay, now it's time to bitch

Okay, I don't normally bitch about comments, but come on? I know I wrote Twins as a fluff piece, but it really is a nice story. I've had seven comments on part one and one on part two. So what you say? Well I've had almost a thousand hits on two and over two thousand on part one. If this was Assassin and you didn't buy it, well then that's your choice, but this is for free and the time Di Wonder and I spent editing the story should warrant at least a response. I didn't include writing the piece because that comes with the territory. Yes I spent months writing the story, and the only reason, it was fun to write, but I would really like a slap on the back saying that I really like the story. Oh well, now that I got that off my back, I think I'll make dinner, Arecee

Comments

I haven't read it yet.

But it is on my to do list, like anything you write. Comments? I know how it is but they are generally down all across the board right now. Weather? People being busy? The site being down so often people wondered if what they posted would get there? I don't know. Things like that are really fickle, to be honest. We just keep writing, having fun with what we like, and hope for the best. Just my take on that one, Arcee.

But not read yet. Its longer so it will probably be a while before I get to it. I anticipate liking it if that helps :)

I haven't read it, and at the

I haven't read it, and at the moment, it just isn't catching my eye. That's not to say I think it's bad, it just hasn't yelled at me to read it.

I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.

At least six of those hits on the first part are from me,

And probably three on the second due to how my browser insists on refreshing things occasionally.

Like others, though, I haven't gotten around to reading the story yet.

I love your writing, Arecee, but one thing to take into account on the parts for this particular story is that they are LOOOOONNNNG. This is not a bad thing, but it does mean that the story is nowhere near as convenient a read as something like, say, Blue Moon, or even your own "Show Me The Money," where the individual chapters were easily digestible on a lunch break or before bed.

I've got "Twins" sitting open in my browser right next to several other stories I haven't started on yet, and they all share one common thing -- they are all on the longer side, and I simply haven't had the time to dedicate to a solid block of reading like I feel they would deserve.

A lot of other readers on our site here have the same problem. If you give the chapters time I'm sure you'll see your comments grow, it's just that longer works tend to take longer to build up steam than the short ones do.

Ditto.....

I usually comment on everything I read. I just haven't gotten to this one yet, but I will and when I do, I'm sure I'll have a few kind words to convey. The last story of yours I read, I "REALLY" liked. Big Hugs, Taarpa

Sorry about my rant

I guess I'm one of those that likes instant gratification, and you're right, the story is long, but some like it that way and some would like small chapters posted each day, but to be honest I don't have time to do that, so I post in chuncks. I'll wait for the comments and if I don't get them I'll hunt you down like a dog, Grr, Arecee PS. Don't take me seriously, please.

RE: Okay, now it's time to bitch as you should

I had not downloaded your story after you posted Twins 2, I wait till I know the story is complete before I download and start reading. Now that I've read it I LOVE IT, your writing is so easy to read the story just flow along. Keep up the great work and I can't wait to read the next story.

LOVE & HUGS

The story is complete

Part three, the last part is being edited as we speak. I'll probably post it next Monday to give readers a chance to absorb the first two parts, Arecee

Collecting it but haven't read it yet

Plan to since I like your work. Unbelievably busy with work right now and just discovered the Honor Harrington space opera novels. Lots of distraction.

Sorry - will read and comment

Good thing you bitched......

Because if you hadn't I would not have read your story! That would have meant that I would have missed out on another very good writer and an outstanding story. Don't ever hesitate to complain - after all, isn't that every girl's God given right?

Keep writing girlfriend!

How about this...

I started reading it because I like fluff pieces... however the story took a turn that gave me pause and I've not gotten back to reading it. Not sure if I will. I'll have to see what my subconscious does with the part that bothered me. The last time this happened, I was about a year before getting back to the story. It turned out that the author did a fine job of taking care of the part that stopped me reading it.

Since I didn't even finish the first part, I didn't feel I could comment.
