Problems with Patreon……

Is anyone else having problems with Patreon? I have been trying to update my credit card info for two days as my bank issued me a new card due to a fraudulent charge on my card.

When I attempt to change the card, it will not allow me to. It will not even allow me to add a card. For two days it has been saying “Unable to add card at this time. Please try again later.”

In just a few days, it is going to try to charge my old card and it will not go through. Yet it will not allow me to update or add a new card.

I have even tried logging in on my laptop rather than my iPad, and although it will allow me to input my e-mail address in the login field, it will then not allow me to click “continue” - or anything else.

Anyone else having issues? Any suggestions?

Here's a link to the Patreon Support page:

That's really all I have to offer since I have no access to change the things that are causing you problems.

I Gave Up On Patreon

I've complained about that just lots but people just snidely respond as if I am too stupid to use it. Now I typically wait until the work appears on Kindle. Anything on Patreon is lost to me. The Amazon Kindle that I use seems flawless.

Amazon Kindle Not Safe Anymore

I was just reading a Kindle book on Amazon and was suddenly shunted to a Patreon page. "University Sissy Auction" has a link that takes the reader right to a Patreon page where the want to charge you more, even after you paid for the 'book'. I will complain to Amazon at the very least. In the future I will be much more cautious.

I wonder if I have been hacked?

... NaH. You won’t have been hacked. Just some dodgy author in breach of Amazon’s terms and conditions, I expect.

Amazon’s Kindle is still very much the wild west, I’m afraid – as you can see from all the books that a scammer has made by taking text from this site and publishing it fraudulently. Be careful what you buy and be sure to ask Amazon for a refund promptly if it turns out to be a fake.

Same Issue

I just this morning did get a call from someone attempting to Phish my debit card. Checking further, apparently this sort of fraud is very common.
