In a lot of ways I liked the carefree feel of the original version better than the revised version. This one is darker, and while it is good that Jane is taken down a peg, the story has taken a bit of a torturous path at this point.

While I did enjoy the original version as a stand alone story, it was too much of a "Tucky gets a new puppy" feel to it to be Eugene Tucker.

However, remember it is suppose to be a *Fan Fic* of her own stuff so the rules can be bent quite a bit as it does not have to be canon. So why not explore an alternate Eugene?
