The Ministry of Health finally approved me for assessment for getting the surgery.
They tell me a 4 to 6 month wait to see the assessor, so I call to book an appointment.

Uh-oh, funding is gone for assessments until April 2015, Office closed until then, can't book an appointment. :(

At least I get the assessment done, maybe my whole file will be available and the prior acceptance to get the letter approving the surgery will make it easier. Go figure, saw psychiatrist at 10 years old in sexual medicine clinic for cross dressing, she was one of two that founded the sexual medicine clinic that served as the gender clinic in the 1990s, so when I went there and saw her, the whole history was known to the clinic. That made it fairly easy to get through the system.

IT gets better.

This morning I answered my cell with an incoming call from the 250 area code. [ not from my local section of the province, from somewhere else in province. ]

They asked me if I would be interested in going to Vancouver General Hospital for an 11:00 am Video Conference with the Chief assessor for getting the sexual reassignment surgery.
naturally, I responded with a definitely. I did say, much better tomorrow than April or later next year.
so, between 11:00 and Noon, I get my assessment done, by the chief assessor and one of her associates, in one single video conference. I'll know by Noon if I will get recommended for the operation.

Stupidity is a capital offense. A summary not indictable.
