What started out as a way to avoid heavy labor turned into something very much else! Sam takes the first steps on what may be a journey that changes his life. Is getting a good start on his college fund worth it?
I have started another novel ("The Loft") and will post chapters as I get them written. I only have a couple of chapters written, so this one is a work in progress and my writing time is very limited right now--but I felt like I needed to get something in the works to get over my "Broken!" hump. LOL
So, these may not be exactly weekly, but I will keep them as close to that as possible.
So, I've been working on a side project and I am not sure what to do with it.
As you may have read from some of Barb's feedback, I have developed a somewhat unique writing style that can be as confusing to the reader as it is to me as the writer. At least I think I have that working now--thanks to my favorite work, Amadea.

I've had a great weekend and another great day planned for tomorrow. But, like many authors, I have a(n awesome) dilemma! There are so many really great stories that others are writing that vie for my time--I just want to dig in and read them all. Then, there is the pull of my own stories that are demanding my time to keep pecking away and fleshing them out and satisfying the needs of those that deem them worthy of reading.
I have to sincerely apologize to my readers for the original version of my concluding chapter of Barbie's Doll (Part 12). :-)
I took Barb's comment to heart--I didn't take it as her criticizing me, in the least. But, she was right--I did rush it, much too much. I am not going into the reasons, but just know that I had them.
I have just posted Part 5 of 'Barbie's Doll'. I had no intention of making this a daily posting and was just lucky enough to be off this week to make that happen. Alas, I have to get back to reality and will not be posting daily from here on out. I will shoot for weekly, but can't even guarantee that, for now.
If possible, I will post another part tomorrow. Otherwise I am pretty sure I can get one posted sometime next week.
I hope you continue to enjoy the story--sorry that it will be a little slower coming out, though.
I've been trying for hours to post the conclusion to Birthday Blues that people have been asking me for. I keep getting an 'Unexpected Error' message from the site.
Anam Chara made me aware of a few boo-boos I made out of my naivete on all things musical vocabulary. While I can certainly hang 'ballet speak' with the best of them, when it comes to orchestra positions and such, I am more than a novice.
I have made some edits, thanks to Anam, and hope I have it right now.
Forgive me for my ignorance and I hope you continue to enjoy the story anyway! :)
I appreciate your patience as I struggled with how to deal with the issue that so many of us are dealing with in terms of our stories being pirated and outright stolen.
At first, I almost decided to let them win. While I have no hope that we will be able to stop them--I also can't just let the story hang. How this will ultimately impact my writing--or better said, posting--of stories, I don't really know.
For now, though, I have every intention of completing the series--however long that may take. :)

I decided to take Sephrena up on her challenge to write a longer story for the Christmas challenge. This is actually the story I started writing before changing horses and submitting the other one. I decided to post the other one, because I wasn't sure I could find the energy to finish this one. :)
I REALLY apologize for the multiple postings of chapter 2 today. I don't know what is going on with my computer... Anyway, I have asked Erin to remove the duplicates.
As for the voting on how to proceed: Well, I wrote both versions of how I felt it could go forward and liked BOTH so much that I am going to meld them. The good news for those that like the story, I guess, is that it will add another chapter or two to the whole series.
I have (I think) pretty good options moving forward for 'The Bestseller'... The problem is, I am not really sure which way to go...
So... I am going to post two options tomorrow...and see which gets the most likes/supportive comments in 24 hours and continue on from there...
Either works well for me...and will (for the most part) end up at the same point... The journey will just be different... I like both so much, I really can't decide...
I am sorry everyone...funding for 'The Experiment' is on the line... I am not sure if it will be able to continue...
LOL -- If you are following the story: I have several upcoming business trips--one starting tomorrow (for most of the week)... There are other trips coming up that are going to impact my writing--and more importantly-- my ability to post...
I posted the fourth chapter ahead of schedule tonight. It may be next week (as in after next Sunday) before I can post again...or, if I can before then, it may be intermittent, at best...
I plan on trying to get another chapter of the Joy Series out soon. Sorry for the delay--but sometimes life just doesn't let you get to the fun stuff at the pace you want it to... :D
So...after the, I think, good advice I received on my other blog posting, I have decided to remove particular names in the Karma stories. I don't think I will stop writing Karma stories, as long as people enjoy them, but they will likely be purely fictional... (not to say I might not be inspired by actual events...) :)
