Taxonomy upgrade extras:

We've done okay with contributions for this month, but we are still a bit short. If you notice, we've spent $700 on equipment this month which is reported in the Server Fund numbers. Actually, we just spent another $500 but that won't be reported till next time.

I just paid the colo bill for this month and my own ISP bill is due. We are going to continue to need more coming in than before because Piper is putting in some long hours and not taking other work while we get all this set up. She put in about 55 hours last week alone with 40+ from me and about 20 from Cat.

That's almost 3 full time jobs.

We've got plans for Hatbox, btw, to make it easier to donate stories and perhaps even share revenues in selling stories with authors. Or something like that. Right now, we are still concentrating on making the site fast, friendly and secure. :) We've acquired a pair of servers to use, in part, for experimenting with upgrading our software. This is a big job which will likely take 100 hours or more because of the particular needs of BCTS.

You can contribute money gifts via the Hatbox links in the right hand column or by going to http://Janglewood.com and using the P a y P a l link there.

Hugs,
Erin, Piper and Cat

Which Nets You More?

Amazon is easy for me, but I have P a y P a l too. Which service nets you more of my donation?

The service whose name must not be spelled correctly...

P a y P a l does not take money out if you mark things as a give. Amazon takes 2.9% plus 30 cents.

I don't understand. The P a y P a l link is on Janglewood. After you gave the gift it returned you to biglittle.us?

Yes!

I had the same experience when I gave a gift earlier this afternoon. I'm not complaining and wouldn't have said anything but after seeing your apparent surprise I thought you should know it happened more than once.
