In about a week Erin will be adding another story from me to Hatbox.

It is called Voices Carry over Water, and is the story of a daughter and father who are vacationing on a remote lake in Canada. Of course, he loses his luggage. Why would the story be posted here, if he didn't?

Erin does a lot of wonderful things for us. One of them is to offer those who are able, the opportunity to be charitable. Nothing is quite like the amazing burst off endorphins derived from making a gift.

During the process of writing this story I sent it to Melanie E for comment. You may know her as Rasufelle. I know her as a complete sweetheart. Her remarks so enthused me that I expanded the story from 16K to 25K.

Rasufelle made a gift to me, which I accepted and passed along. That's what Erin does.
