Out of the Ether?
Sometimes things happen that leads to a train of thought.
'Out of small acorns, mighty oaks do grow'
Lets take this one for an example.
you are in a hotel waiting for a lift. Suddenly a large case bangs into you. you turn and look angrily at the owner of the case and ....
Happened to me in the Intercontinental Hotel in Amman, Jordan. I'm just wrapping up the conclusion to the story. When I'm done it will get posted here.

If I can remember how the idea for a story came about, I do try to add it as a postscript to the story. It helps my aging brain remember it :)
Pipsy Bottle vs. Bent the Lamp
I think pipsy was a better dog, then the Bent the lamp was a family member.
The bent Lamp, reminds me more of a jilted guy/girl -friend, terrible to throw them out, but with the right people has hope of a better life some where else in the future if it does not end up, down in the dump forever. It just needs another chance.
Pipsy, we see as a dear friend that has terrible things end up happening to it. (did not want to spoil the story if you have not read it.)
Beside, in the advertisement for IKEA from the above link, the guy at the end insults you.
