My doctor switched me to the Transderma patch from the injectable. Could anyone give me any advice on any problems you may have had with it? I would appreciate any feedback.

Patches
Injectables are the best tollerated by the body as there are fewer additives. However if you tolerate adhesives directly on your skin. Patches are the next best thing.
They still have the same health risks as the same drugs administered by other methods.
Women in my family have terrible alergies to adhesives. My mom once tried to quit smoking using a patch. She broke out in a huge rash radiating from the patch.
Another good thing about patches (if left alone not moving them until recomended) is the longer delivery period and balanced doseage rather than a ramping up to a peak then a plateau of dosing until the eventual falling off.
Summertime is the hardest time for wearing patches though... as sweating can cause them to lose cohesion.

Yes, tried them myself. I like to take baths though and they loosen up wayyyy too easily plus I have sensitive skin and irritate way too easily. So now I just do it sublingually with pills - I do not directly swallow them. I have never done the injectables as I hate needles also.

In my opinion, vivelle .1 are the best, for me anyhow. I use them twice a week and my breasts, which are now B+ did not develop until I started using them. I had been on Estradiol 2 mg and that did not do much for me. Please use them according to the prescription. The VA made a mistake on mine and said to change them every day, but Cathy kept insisting that twice a week was what the MFG called for and she was right. There were sure some red faces at the VA over that.
For a while, I was leaving the old one on and putting the new one somewhere else and when I changed the old one I'd put the new one there. Well that was just plain dumb and I got a nice rash over it.
Some swear by the shots, but I don't like needles.

I Have Been On The Injectable For 6 Years
I have been on the injectable for six years before this and I really hated the pain and inconvenience of it. I don't have the best eyesight anyway and it was so hard to make sure you were drawing out the right amount from the vial. She said it was now about the same price for the patches as what I pay for the vial. It is a three month supply instead of the five month like I was getting with the shots, but not putting up with the pain and bother will be worth it I think?

I can also recommend Vivelle. They work really well.
Injections and patches have most of the same dangers as orals but the orals are much harder on the liver. Since the liver takes apart anything that it finds in the (highly efficient) portal flow it means that the orals have to have much higher concentrations for the same effect in circulation. Supposedly (two physicians claim, and I nowadays believe them) the transdermals and the injections get into the plasma for at least one tour of the body (sometimes many more) before hitting the liver.
Speaking of which, those of you that inject in the Gluteus Maximus, do you get significant butt development? I seem to notice a correlation among my friends, which kind of implies the injectables have strong local effects. The vehicle for the injectable estrogen is this thick oily substance that has very low mobility which might explain this phenomenon, if it is real.
