Okay, I'm now trying to submit my own story and not lean on Sephrena for this one. I've set it all up, complete with a nice graphic and filled out the Submit Fiction page and hit Preview. After a little alteration I have it as I want and hit the Submit button. The form resets and shows blank fields. Apparently, no submittal has occurred.

What am I doing wrong?

I have no idea

That just isn't how the form works. What OS and browser are you using?

The only way I can get that effect here is to hit ++Fiction again instead of Submit.

I can try to help but I don't have enough info.

Hugs,
Erin

I sent the story to Sephrena

to see if she could figure out what is wrong. I also told her what the form did when I tried to submit. The Preview looks fine, but when I Submit, the form resets with warnings that my Author Name, Body, and Audience Rating fields have not been filled in. They were filled correctly, however. Cookies are properly enabled, as well. Even sending the story to myself in a private message here works just fine. It's only when I try to submit the story that I have a problem.

I can't make that happen here...

...from your description. I really have no idea how that could happen. But what OS and what browser?

Turn Javascript On

Do you have javascript blocked in your browser? That's the only thing I can think of that would do that.

Go to Preferences in your browser and make sure to turn on Javascript. In Safari, this is under Security, in Firefox it's under Content. In various versions of IE, it's somewhere but I'm not sure where.

Also, if you're on Firefox...

if you have the NoScript add on, it will block javascript unless you've set it to allow javascript on this site.

Just figured I'd point that out, as most Firefox users either have NoScript or AdBlock Plus installed.

I have neither add-on

and Javascript is enabled, so that is not the problem. I found that I can use IE to Submit a story and it works just fine. Usually, it's IE that gives me headaches! Anyway, problem solved...

Have You Tried?

Copying your story after the changes are made, then hitting preview? Try that and send to Erin or Sephrena, they can help you once they see the story.

Next time...

Try using Firefox again, but take screenshots to illustrate what you're doing and what errors you're getting. If you have web space / online file storage space somewhere, upload the pictures to there and send a link to Erin / Sephrena (just don't email the pictures unless you've heavily compressed them and asked if it's OK to do so first!). After all, "a picture is worth a thousand words" and could probably help Erin / Sephrena more than a textual description.
