Found some online instructions on how to put a hajib on, and I'm sitting here wearing it.

I have to say, it feels wonderful. Nothing that I dislike about it, just wish the scarf was longer.

And you are wearing a Hijab why?

I wear one everyday, anytime I go out. There are lots of ways to wear them and several different types. I take it very seriously.

Interestingly, it is common for transwomen to join very rigid religious sects where part of their expression is very definite gender specific clothing and roles. This was told to me by a Lutheran pastor who used to have a church in Atlantic City.

Not to denegrate anyone

I've always liked the look of the hajib and jilbab on others, there is something that looks wonderful about them and enhances those who wear them. Yes, I understand why they are worn, I've done some reading and I have "meditated", meaning that I thought long and hard about it, and what I wanted.

First I had wondered how to put them on. That prompted most of my interest and a lot of my research. My honey was given a yellow fringed scarf, about four feet by two feet some time ago. I had wondered if it was a hajib and I think I found out.

Second, while it does hide appearance, in some cases it seems, to me to enhance the beauty of the face.

Finally this was one time in the privacy of my home. While I'm not Muslim I do have a clothing fetish of sorts, I like clothing and "costumes" of all types, from uniforms to gender specific clothes in religions and so on. I would NEVER think of disrespecting the concept of the hajib and jilbab by going out with them on without believing and honestly doing my best to reflect what they mean as a devote of Mohammad. That's totally impolite and discourteous.

But it has been something I wanted to try for some time.
