In case you hadn't made the connection, this refers to my long running saga Falling off a bike.

I'm sure there are all sorts of errors in it because it's written at speed and like one or two other goddesses, I occasionally forget details. When they are pointed out I try to correct them. This is about one such point. Those who didn't notice - tut tut! I shall asking questions afterwards.

In episode 414 I named Tom's daughter Catherine, in 455 I called her Julie. It was a cock up, but in the great British tradition, I'm celebrating it. See I am almost human, but being divine - I forgive myself :)

I'm glad that it hasn't all gone to your head!

At some point...

Almost every young girl decides to change her name. My own sister decided at one point -- with help from one of her pals -- that she wanted a "cuter" name than the one she was given at birth.

It's entirely possible that Catherine, or Julie, decided at one point to try out different names. Most of us have two names anyway, one of which furnishes the ubiquitous "middle initial" box on official forms with something to stuff in it.

You might celebrate the *other* grand tradition of writers and storytellers everywhere and pretend you meant to have it that way all along.

And here I was thinking...

That Tom's daughter was Catherine Julliette or Juliette Catherine... I'm devistated. (well, not quite.)

I thought I replied to this

They are both her names. Either one is her middle name or it is her nickname.

My mother was Ellen but to most of her close friends and family she was Rose, her middle name or Rosie.

So you can weasle out of this if you claim they are both her name, simple?

P.S. I my own stories I have so many characters now *I* forget thir names at times.
