Well, having become a TS author, I have to say that I like it. I find myself checking my stories about 40 times a day (literally) and seeing how many times they have been read, how many votes that have been garnered, and if any comments have been made.

I'm finding out that I LOVE comments.

I'm a bit disappointed that the most recent chapter, Sissy's Debut, hasn't seemed to be as well received as the other chapters.

I do have more that needs to be written. I know where the next two or three parts are going to say, and the story is shaping nicely.

On another note, I've been reading Melanie Brown's stories "The Reluctant..." and there are about four different sets of stories in that. I'm really finding that I like them. They are probably going to be copied into my permanent "Erotica" folder.

I really don't want the Sissy series to become a Sub + Domme typical story. But there are some elements that are going to happen, simply because of the dynamic.

I have been pleasantly surprised at the reactions to the Domme in the story. I have met many Dommes in my time, and her way of being is pretty typical of a domme. First and foremost, they pay attention to their sub, because they aren't there to harm, but to help heal. I think that is the key. Those that like being humiliated with the dressing are getting past the "lure of the forbidden" and the "taboo" of crossdressing, and it's a way to heal that. Most get something like five or six sessions and then move on to other things.

However those who are truly TS or just cross dressers on a permanent basis that's not the dynamic. They may not like the humiliation, they want the clothes and the mannerisms and all that. That is what the Domme gives to them, the feeling of being a woman and a sexual being, powerful and in control. That's the whole platter that I'm trying to serve to Sissy, and I think it's pretty hard to do so without really making some permanent or semi-permanent changes to Sissy herself.

Anyhow, just babbling.

Maybe I Can't Say It Often Enough

Don't be too disappointed by an apparent lack of response to a story. On the other hand, don't get too excited by numerous votes or comments.

There is no close correlation between the number of comments made or the number of votes received -- and the quality of the story.

The main reason people leave a comment or vote is because you are writing something that is within the favorite genre.

For example; there are many people who avoid magical stories and read only cross-dressing stories and vice versa.

Many people won't read stories with underage(?) protagonists. Many people don't like stories with elderly protagonists.

Sissy stories have historically had a tough time attracting an audience on BC, but perhaps that cycle has changed.

If you want to keep your muse, find satisfaction in the writing process and take the comments and votes for what they are. It's like applause at a grade school Christmas program -- some is polite, some is heartfelt, but most is directed at the child you love the most -- yours.
