It's been over two months since my previous posting of "A Bikini Beach Late Summer". This is what I didn't want to happen. The alternative, unfortunately, had already happened: it had been years, and I hadn't come close to finishing the story.

Okay, at least I'm writing it now. I've just posted the latest. I'm concerned about continuity issues, due to the lack of revision. (I revised earlier work written long ago, but not very much the latest. And with the latest, even the earlier may need more revision.) With revision, I could add more show and less tell, and other fun detail.

While writing this, I'd temporarily forgotten things. Band marching practice was Saturday, not Friday. I'd forgotten Lucy's final summer clarinet lesson as well.

Alice from the first book appears, along with her cousin Jill. Years ago, some readers would have been dying to see Alice along with the rest of the clique, but now?
