So my last posting was in August. I am really trying to get the next page out. But then life happened.
In September, Dad had to go to the hospital for something dealing with his kidneys. That was the 4th. On the 8th of September he had a heart attack. They couldn't do a heart cath due to his levels in his kidneys being so high. They were afraid to start dialysis because of his heart. So for a few days he was close to death and in a medical coma. They finally did the dialysis and after that could do the heart cath. Near the 18th of September they did the triple bypass. about a week after that he got pneumonia.
He was home now is back in hospital for some other reason. And in this whole time we have been dealing with my family and getting restraining orders because they are robbing dad blind.
also on the 8th of September we had that fire, the north complex/bear fire get close to us. So I was thinking we had to run for our lives.
Then about a week and a half ago, my old computer died and I had to get a new one. I have no way to transfer my information to the new computer, so i had to order the parts. So I can post one thing of Tracy and through the years, but the rest is waiting for that cable.
It seems like we catch a break, and be happy about it, bad things happen. Getting tired of good things happening.

Why the comment on the NHS ? Raff01 is in California and the way *I* read the post his dad is likely nearby.
If you need emergency medical help in the UK, you will get the NHS unless someone takes deliberate action to send you elsewhere. Private health plans don't generally cover emergencies as there is often no private emergency hospital available.

These days I'm not sure where anybody is from, unfortunately or fortunately take your pick, I don't have faith in the NHS in the UK. How many hospitals in the USA or Europe are there where you go into Hospital to have a problem sorted out and you end up with MRSA or other infections. The Doctors are mainly form other countries and they tend to treat their patients like idiots. I was used to getting First class treatment through the Army Hospitals which were always spotless and very organised until the Government shut them down .The nurses and doctors seem to unable understand plain English + the NHS wastes millions on lawsuits due to incompetance
you obviously
have a grind to axe. I don't think you are any more likely to end up ill after an NHS visit than any other Western world hospitals. There are lots of non native staff in the NHS, no wonder when private medicine creams off much of the local talent. Personal experience is that the NHS is far better than its often painted, I've always had exemplary treatment when I've needed it as have other members of my family.
Be glad that there is not the need for specialist military hospitals as there was in past years.

UK Military Hospitals
On my last visit to Frimley Park Hospital, A&E, I was treated by a 100% Army Medic Team. They work in the hospital to keep their skills up. There is at least one ward reserved for MOD people. The same thing takes place at other hospitals around the country.
I have zero complaints with the NHS.
