I've noticed the complete loss of any sort of physical sexual response when manually stimulating. It seems possible that is due to the increased development of scar tissue around the nerves capable of responding to such ministrations and not due to age. My Brain refuses to acknowledge the fact but there is some hope that reality will set in before too long.

Any operation using a scalpel has a percentage of danger to it. Cutting nerves is one of those. Dr. Powers talks about a woman going in for breast augmentation and not leaving alive. Everyone has seen the facial surgeries that went terribly wrong. I wish I never had hemorrhoid surgery. I was better off before.
Gwen, I know none of this is rellevant to your personal situation but what I'm hoping to pass to you is. You're a woman and man or woman we make choices in our lives. We make gains with those choices and we lose with choices. I made a choice when I was five to not commit suicide because everyone thought I was a boy. After begging God almost everyday of my life to end it, I made another choice when I was sixteen to return to this body when offered a choice. There are so many precious memories, happy times, and millions of tears from emotional pain. I made my choices and I'll ride it to the end begging forgiveness for all the mistakes I made.

You and me, we're the same but different. Savor the good, accept all as the choices a beautiful strong woman made because she didn't accept the social structure society built for her to live in.

Nowadays, it seems that the Prostate is not messed with due to high risk of Urinary incontinence and nerve damage. I had my surgery in Bangkok, Thailand and in retrospect, I feel like the surgeon was a risk taker. It was around 14 years ago that the surgery was performed. Not being accusatory, perhaps he got a bit close to sensitive nerves in the area? I was once told that scar tissue spreads over time. Not being a Doctor, I do not know. Immediately post surgery and for several years after, I had satisfactory sexual sensitivity, though I never enjoyed penetrative intercourse. In the last 5 years, or so, urinary incontinence has become an issue. My brain is still capable of arousal but my body is not up to it, not even so called Prostate Orgasims.
