I ran across an absolutely smashing treasure trove of free page divider graphics to use in stories here and to use in works you sell called Photoshopgraphics.com

If you don't know what a page divider is used for, click here and see how they are used inside my recent posting of Tigger's Story here.

I verified this site with it's owner in email and specifically asked if the Free Vectors and dividers can be used in sellable books and ebook types and posted stories.

My question pertains to the usage of your free vectors within ebooks and physical printed books for sale on Amazon.com. Is this usage allowed and if not, what must I do to secure the licensing to do so?

Specifically, the use of a few dividers for different novels to sell.

Thank you for your time and look forward to hearing back from you.

So Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On this page you will see the 47 pages of free sheet sets of various artwork designing graphics and dividers on Adobe Illustrator .ai Sheets. If you have Adobe Illustrator - great! All you have to do is hit the download button and save the zip of the image. If not, I will walk you through how to save the sheets as a .jpg

Once you scroll down through the pages of vectors and you find a set you want, start by hitting the Free Download link.

If you have Adobe Illustrator, hit the download button and save the zip of the image. If not, click on the Free Preview link.

The image sheet pops up. Now right click and select Save As.

Make sure the save as format is listed as .jpg. Then select your directory and folder to save the image in, and click the Save button.

Okay, you have the sheet Image. But How do you turn it into a usable divider to put into your book? For that, we need a handy little Image Editor that is free called Irfanview. You can download it for free from here. During the Install, ensure you don't let it install google or other toolbars by unchecking those boxes doing the custom install (hate those things!!!!) Also make sure to Select ALL Images when the image types window pops up. Once it finishes it will send you to the Irfanview home page to read about it. Close that out.

Now, go to where you saved your divider sheet, right click on the file and double click it.

Your Image page is now fully blown in the window. First thing you want to do is to go to the upper left above the divider you want, holding the LEFT mouse button down and drag the cursor diagonally downwards to the lower right of the divider to select a crop box around it. Let go of the mouse button once you have the box centered just how you want it around your divider.

Then go to the top of the File menu of Irfanview, click Edit / scroll down to Crop Selection. Click Crop Selection.

Now your image enlarges and is ready to be saved. But, we have to save this image both as a .gif and transparently. So go back up to the File Menu and Select File / and scroll down to Save As. Click Save As.

Ensure you select .gif as the format type to save it as if it doesn't pop up that way in the Save as Window where the red arrow is. Once .gif type is selected then a second window pops up. It is used for .jpg and .gif's Select the Quality to 100% which is all the way to the right on that slider bar. Make sure the Save Transparent Color box is checked and the Choose Transparent Color During Saving is checked. Now Click Save.

A final window pops up asking you to click on the color in the little image window of your Divider that you want to make invisible. Click the white or whatever the background color in the image is with the cursor. The image now saves and is ready to load up into BCTS or any other program. It will display it as the image only with no background color with the image - so it blends in wherever it is put.

Photoshopgrahics.com also has a premium site that allows you to download an unlimited number of images per year for $99 here. Both Erin and myself will join this site. I figure to give back to a site that offers so much to everyone ^^

I looked at download

I find the file suspious as it prompted my virus scanner immediatly when asked to install the download manager to get the file.

It is not suspicious

the google toolbar embedded with Irfanview to keep it "free" is triggering it. Just choose custom install and uncheck the box and it will not install that bar.

There are like around 11 sites to choose from. Try tucows. There are links that do not require any download manager. The reason for that manager is they certify their copy of the file virus free with a crc checksum embedded. The manager transports it in a secure transport from their server to your pc.

The other thing to remember is that all the good virus scanners WILL scan all incoming files and datapackets before allowing them onto your system. That is a good thing.

I have 4 pc's (1 desktop, 3 laptops) I use one laptop to test and play with any potential software before it goes to my good pc's. I will NOT recommend something that will harm your pc tels.
