Default Sub-Forum Thread Listing Sort Order?

Printer-friendly version

Forums:

Might there be any way to set a default sort order for sub-forum thread listings? I usually set it to 'Last reply,' descending, but it would be nice if I didn't have to reset that every time I navigated into a sub-forum.

I changed it to Newest first. It had been Busiest first.

Re: Changed

My request was meant to be for a per-user site preference, but I guess that works, too…

Lyrical magical, confound it all; I've gone and gotten myself stuck lost somewhere deep in the Infinity Library again…

What REALLY Ought to Change...

...is the alphabetical order for the main forum topics. If you're not going to get rid of all those bogus zeroed-out entries, you really ought to put all the topics in order of frequency, the way you had the internal ones before, so that the seven or eight real ones can be at the top.

(OK, I see that except for "Hangin' Around" and "Outside the Closet" -- which are in their alphabetical slots -- all the real topics have migrated to the bottom of the list. Not sure what's going on there.)

I don't understand

I did not know that Forums existed and when I finally got in there, they all appear to be empty. Perhaps I should just stay out of there?

It seems to me that one solution...

It seems to me that one solution to the forum "problem" would be for people to start using them. With so many topics to choose from, there must be something out there that would appeal to the casual reader. Maybe it's like those old fashioned dances we used to attend back in high school, were everybody was afraid to make the first move (remember how awkward it was, being the very first couple out on the dance floor?).

Well, I'll see what I can do to liven things up on the BBS. Is there a limit on how many forum posts we're permitted to make in a single day?
