Blog About:

Recent events have made me a bit more sensitive to users who post a lot then suddenly drop out of sight.

So I noticed that Andrea Lena DiMaggio hadn't put up a new blog in a while. I did see she posted another of her great stories (a segment, anyway) on Monday, but I decided to see if she'd blogged anything and followed the link to her account.

According to that page, today she has been an official member of BCTS for, are you ready?

FOUR YEARS AND ONE DAY!!!!

Congratulations Andrea!! Your contributions here and your quick wit and caring soul has enriched this site immensely! YOU GO GIRL!

Let's all thank our sister for her caring, her contributions, and her giving of herself to all of us!

Hugs

It has been a wonderful four years of reading some of the most insightful and emotionally packed material posted on this site. We are so lucky to have her here.

Thank you,'Drea,

Andrea is one of the many joys of BCTS and if not for her and Kelly Blake and Topsy (Shiraz) I would
not be here today. When,at 78 years of age I was given the opportunity to transition ,Andrea and her brood
encouraged and supported me to do so.Now,at 80 years young I am alive and have a serenity and happiness
that I never knew existed in my previous life.It was 'Drea and Kelly who brought me to BCTS which each day
gives me a happiness and a will to live my life as it should always have been,so happy birthday, dear sister
of mine ,I know of a lot more people on the site who have been helped and encouraged by your strength and
love.May God bless and keep you.

Hitching a ride Gram...

I'm not sure of who told who first but...

I met Drea on another (semi-defunct) site where we were both posting our tales. I was having trouble posting one tale and Drea was posting nearly every day like a mad woman. I commented on the 'authenticity' of her writings. I think I said that they seemed to have the 'stench of truth and reality'. We both were not completely satisfied with the site for various reasons and I'm not sure who found Big Closet first. I know that I recognized the 'higher bar' of literary content and so off we went to begin posting here.

It has been not only an extreme pleasure and delight to see how amazing Drea's writing has become but it has also been a point of envy. I think that any site fortunate enough to have her as a regular author is truly blessed because she does have an amazing gift with words and an extraordinary sense of play and the absurd. Of course anyone with such a strong talent is going to have even stronger beliefs. I respect her enormously for having opinions and beliefs that she doesn't back away from. There is nothing weak, meek, or 'half-way' about Drea or her writings.

I have never started a tale without first consulting Drea; probably sometimes to the point of being a nuisance. I discuss even the smallest detail and character motivation with her to the point where others would definitely say; "Stop...you're making me crazy with your crap!!!" Yet she has always been more than patient and a superb listener. There are times when I feel that Drea truly deserves a co-authorship on some tales simply because I hound her to such an extent.

Drea has also been my consort during my 'difficult and troubled times' and for that alone she should be blessed a thousand times. I wish I could be half the help to her as she's been to me. I could not continue to write what I do without her keen wisdom and sense of propriety (although I must admit that some of my...erotica as she says...porn as I say... may be a bit much).

May Drea's Words Echo Forever...

A heart felt thanks.

I recently started posting on this site as I was reaching a decision point in my transition, and more importantly in my life. I wanted to express my feelings and my thanks to some of the very, very good friends that I have developed here.

Andrea was one of the first to comment and has been extremely supportive to me over the past several weeks which have been extremely rough for me. This small and insignificant comment is just the tip of the iceberg of my thanks to her. How someone who I have had virtually no interaction with, and who knows next to nothing about me, can reach out and be so supportive astonishes me.

Andrea, if you read this, you are a truly selfless person and a good soul. I thank you for the life you have helped to save.

Your friend,

Dallas

Yeah, 'Drea ...

I've been known to disappear for weeks at a time (and you're normally one of the ones who'll message to check on me), but I've noticed you've been quiet for you the past few days.

I'll echo what everyone else has said. Happy anniversary. And thanks for the emotionally gripping stories that inspire us. And the encouragement you've given me on some of my stories.

Love ya a lot,

Torey
