A story from the Guardian. It appears drag queens have been reading stories to children in public libraries and the right-wing have got hold of it and, on the pretence of protecting children are prepared to protest against such things because they are different.
Why have people got so angry and why do they seem to blame it all on minorities who have even less influence than they do? What are they frightened of, that these weirdos may come over as normal people or even be likeable? This taliban-like Christianity, shows them to be devoid of the legendary compassion of their founder and a very narrow and puritanical form of enjoyment, which seems to thrive on hatred and ill-feeling towards all men. If they looked in the mirror they would see that they are the monsters and not the minorities.

This story broke several months ago and the US Right Wing went mad. There were even Proud Boys turning up at Libraries in an attempt to stop it all.
They want to control every aspect of people's lives. IMHO. Gilead is coming to the USA.

A week ago I was driving to a family reunion with my son and his girlfriend. I was in definite male mode.
I stopped at a convenience store and purchased three bottles of water.
On the way out, I noticed a man coming in in a black t-shirt with writing on it. I couldn't quite make it out so I suppose I was staring. When I finally realized it said "Let's Go Brandon" I left the store. "Let's Go Brandon" is rightist for Fuck Joe Biden.
I got about thirty feet from the door when I heard, "Hey! Hey!"
I turned around and saw the man in his offensive black shirt coming toward me. He was about forty and in good physical condition with a brush cut.
"You don't like Trumpers, do you?" He asked accusatorily.
"As a matter of fact, I generally don't."
"You think all Trumpers are bigots, don't you?"
"I would say that most Trumpers are bigots."
I nodded. "I would say that most Trumpers are bigots."
He sneered. "Well, all liptards are pedophiles."
I shook my head. "Now you see -- what I said was a fact. And, what you're saying is pure fantasy."
By this time he had planted himself much too close to me. "You were staring at my t-shirt, in front of my wife."
I had no answer for that.
"All liptards are cowards," he growled.
I pulled myself up to my full 5'10" and looked down about four inches -- at someone with obvious short man issues. "Isn't this interesting? I'm 74 years old and you're trying to intimidate me. I think I've had enough."
I turned and walked away from him -- the ten steps to my car.
After I got in, my son said, "That was pretty intense. I thought I was going to have to get out for a while."
His girlfriend added, "That was a nice camo gun he was packing."
I hadn't noticed.
I wonder if I had noticed how much differently I would have acted.
I also wonder when it became remotely okay for a forty-year-old to try to pick a fight with someone almost twice his age?

The last place I thought I would encounter a rabid Trumper (is there any other kind?) was at Fantasia Fair 5 years or so ago.
Their presence has soured me for the Fair which had been my home away from home once a year for many a year as they had such a sense of community.

Draining is one way of eliminating a swamp. Adding massive amounts of water could be another since you'd have a lake then.

Not Posturing With Idiots
I lived most of my life impersonating a male. At 5'7" it was tiresome encountering males who wanted trouble. I was never good with fisticuffs and got thumped a couple times. Then I started to carry a Military .45, though only pulled it out once. Looking down that barrel is sobering. My assailant was running so fast that it wasn't worth shooting.
I was never gay, though was accused of it. Since I transitioned to Female, life is much nicer, and I get hit on by males who have no chance at all with me. I seem to pass, or am not seen as a threat. No need to carry a weapon now.

Conservatives in the US and the UK have latched onto the word "groomers" and twisted it into a partisan taunt that says nothing about any real danger to kids. Applying labels like groomers and pedos to liberals and LGBTQ+ people who want to teach kids to accept people who are different and to not hate themselves if they turn out gay and/or trans is like calling having public libraries a form of Communism. These words become gibberish when applied to things so far removed from their real meaning; and thrown at someone with no actual cause to in order to intimidate them into silence/acquiescence/compliance, like accusing someone of being a witch back in olden times.
And promoting the notion that child abuse is a liberal thing and you can spot a molester by their electric car and Greenpeace bumper sticker leaves your children vulnerable to that great guy best friend of yours with political views (and maybe even musical tastes and sports team affiliations) JUST LIKE YOURS, who is funny, smart, charming and well informed. Because what actual pedophiles do first is manipulate the child's parents into trusting them; and you can't spot them by their political leanings, by how they dress (raincoat, bad haircut, outdated glasses), the shape of their head or their eyes being too far apart, or by some stereotypical aura of twitchiness and general not-quite-rightness. There are no signs other than what they do, and how the child acts after they've been with this person. Saying the threat is only or predominantly from California liberals, or from Trumpsters and Southern Baptist conservatives, LGBT folk (although sadly it's possible for one of us to be one) or even Roman Catholic clergy is a dangerous naive belief that your kids could pay an unimaginably awful price for...

The kid in question was offered a place in several other church run kindergartens, at least one closer to home.
Otherwise, wouldn't it be a great idea to persuade people on the religious right that the Shakers had the right interpretation of procreation?
On another note. The kicking out kindergarten maintained that marriage is between one man and one woman. Havent't they read the Old Testament?

Apart from the demographics you cited, there are no significant variations between any demographics. Clergy appear to be outstanding, nbut that's more noteriety than numbers. No socioeconomic status, race, religion, part affiliation, education, employment, or any other demographic outnumbers anothr percentage wise. 3-4 out of 100 men and < 1 out of 100 women will offend.
Priests, teachers, coaches, etc. don't become abusers of kids. Sexual predators gravitate toward those positions because that's where they gain trust to access their prey. if anything, 'drag queens' of late are around kids ONLY in SAFE venues where the kids are accompanyed by parents and older siblings, etc. Kids are more likely to be abused by a coach or scout leader or their youth pastor than they would remotely be with a 'drag queen.' To thrash a deceased equine once again. I was groomed by two family members and a retired boy scout leader; all unbeknownst to each other.
