Amy won again today on Jeopardy. She is the first transgender contestant to have this much success -- closing in on $1 million in total winnings.

It is her serenity as much as her amazing knowledge base that makes her so much fun to watch.

Today - at a crucial point of the contest, an answer she gave was judged wrong. She is rarely wrong. I turned to my spouse and said, "They've got to correct that! Her answer was just as correct as the answer they said was correct." About five minutes later, they corrected their error and gave her credit for the answer.

I've seen other Jeopardy contestants wilt under similar circumstances. Confidence and composure are a huge part of the winning formula.

Amy didn't miss a beat.

When I was young "cross-dressing" was considered to be a mental illness in the same class as pedophilia. Bearded ladies were standard fare at carnivals. Jack Benny made a living by mocking men in dresses. To me -- it is almost unbelievable to see a woman like Amy not only accepted -- but excelling in the arena of mental acuity.

She is making a huge statement to the naive and willfully ignorant.

I see I'm the 4th person to click love or like on this post, despite it only being published 13 minute ago. It looks like a lot of people are reading this. Thanks for posting it.

The Man I Was Died.

Though I did not understand it at the time, things have been much better for me as a woman. It won't be safe for me to go into more detail.

Totally amazing

She's amazing in both her presentation as a Jeopardy contestant and as a woman. My wife struggles with my trans status and, as a rule, doesn't want to watch anything trans related, tuned in Jeopardy week before last and watched with rapt attention as Amy smoked the competition. In Final Jeopardy, she could have risked 3/4 of her winnings and answered wrong while the others risked it all and answered correctly and still have come out winner. She wasn't foolish enough to do that. She only risked about 1/4. The other two knew that they were just going through the motions but played anyway. My wife watched all the way through and never twigged that Amy was trans. I wasn't about to say anything and spoil it for her. I just sat and grinned.
