The Theory of Tuesdays

Science and Dan O'Neil both explain that Tuesday afternoon is the most productive time of the week. No one wants to work on Friday or Monday or any morning at all for that matter. And Thursday afternoon is taken up making plans for Friday; you can't get things done on Wednesday because that's Hump Day, for gosh sakes.

That leaves only Tuesday afternoon, you're awake and rested from the weekend, Friday is far enough away you can pretend you have plenty of time to make plans and you need room on your desk to eat your Hoagie so you might as well do some work.

Or we could schedule a meeting? Tuesday mid-afternoon is the best time of the week to schedule a meeting, too. You didn't plan to get anything done today, anyway, did you?

Hugs,
Erin

Or maybe not

Well, I had a fair amount to do today (Tues, 12. May), but then my cable (internet) went down and stayed down most of the day. So I went and took a nap and then edited some stories.

So much for this Tuesday.

Tuesday afternoon...Moody...

I'm looking at myself reflections of my mind
It's just the kind of day to leave myself behind
So gently swaying through the fairyland of love
If you'll just come with me you'll see the beauty of
Tuesday afternoon

23%

Fifty years ago, I was told the average office worked actually works about 23% of the time they are in an office.

It's been my observation that estimate is about right.

People marvel how much more productive they are working from home. And they probably are.
