A question about my stories so far and my future plans

I wonder how my stories fit here. So far I posted a story about a prince being treated badly. I have posted a story a husband who is being abused at work by his boss and faces a feminization and a forced marriage to a sadistic mobster with high level connections. And a strong wife who is determined to do anything she can to stop it. I have a lot planed there but it is brutal

I have also posted a recent story about a very abused and manipulated submissive husband who was cheated, and ignored, only there to serve his wifes sadistic boyfriends plaything.

My stories tend to be very dark and troubling so I wonder if they are okay here.

I am busy writing a huge epic story which I hope will be good. it has everything in it, but it is very dark. Its medieval, with knights, ladys castles and kings. Theres powerful wishes who want to raise their goddess back and restore the rule of women. Theres the powerful cruel church who rules the land with an iron fist, burning anyone who opposes them

and in the middle of it all, an innocent prince who is going to have his birthright stolen by witches and made into a girl simply because he is the male heir to a throne who want a girl to get it. Hes going to be humiliated, turned and his suffering ignored. All he did was be the male heir.
and hes the son of lucifer and lilith, not that anyone knows yet. they will be sorry when they find out and the people who love him does everything they can to keep him good while the witches and eveything else want to unleash their cruelty on him all because he was the male heir

It has heavy religious overtones so im wondering how such a story would be received here

Your stories are very much

Daphne Xu's picture

Your stories are very much within the range accepted here. I won't say that dark stories are the norm, but they're perhaps only a standard deviation away. The only (partial) requirement is that they involve TG in some way or other. And I wrote partial, because once you've posted a few TG stories, they'll also accept non-TG stories.

Actually, some stories of mine that I'm writing are more likely to push the edge of what's acceptable here, than what you described. (Only one actually posted here, so far, that I can think of. That's primarily because my writing is so stalled...)

Relatively New Here?

It seems that you posted your first story here on 4/4/19? So far your stories seem to have moderate acceptance. Most Authors here get around 100 Kudos per submission. I have not figured out the 'formula' for being really popular here, I just write from my heart.

Lots of us here have survived pure, unmitigated hell with unspeakable losses. I try to write sweet romances with some TG content but nothing excessive. I think that bad boy, good girl stories likely come from guilt.

Good luck.

I am enjoying your stories

I am enjoying both, I have much I could/want to say... but I am unsure how you would take deep honest personally inclined.
Certain platforms, are uneasy for me, but others are quite good.
You have a strong immagination & it looks like Athena has smiled upon you with the gift of Wisely induced Strategic defensive perception.
Like with that skill... you could even be great at crime, action etc type genre's too if you ever so inclined.
Yes I tend to ramble on, I like most of us girls, never really adapted socially so... I do not have 'normal' social skills aka socially awkward/anti social & socially anxious... so I ramble on, not knowing if I should or should not... so I apologize if it is annoying for you.
If you want a full disclosure on my personal overal view/s on your work (cheating husband & the other woman) just ask, but let it be known...when I start I find it hard to stop & can be brutally sometimes insensitivelly honest without any intent to cause negative reactions especially being hurt.
I did that a few monthes ago, and like it did not go over well, I even decided for a bit about just keeping by trap shut from now on... though one of the most recent outstanding writers 'Commentator' of "stick her shock" helped me get over that.
So like I said before I rambled, your work thus far as those 2.2 I have read are quite good & enjoyable for the most part, you are a great writer!

Dark stories

WillowD's picture

There are a lot of REALLY dark stories on this web site. And many of them are written by some of the most popular authors here. Try looking at much of LadyDragon623's stories. Or Alicia Snowfall's The Chrysalis Project and The Lyssa Kordenay Missions. Or if you want to go to horribly emotionally gut wrenching dark stories, Katie Leone has many stories on Amazon Kindle that I think were originally published here.

Many of the users (authors and comment posters) on this site are dealing with really dark real life issues. Some of them deal with it by writing and reading the dark fiction on this site. I think this is a very good site to publish dark stories and have them well received, as long as many of them also have a transgender flavour.

It's OK here

Patricia Marie Allen's picture

Pretty much any fiction is accepted here. As Erin says, a story would have to go a long way in the wrong direction to run into censure. As previously noted, there are some dark stories by other authors. As for a matter of being widely read, that may be another story. We all have our own little niche that we write in. Some authors are talented enough to span the spectrum to a certain extent.

It's not uncommon for new authors to struggle to find a following among our readers. Don't be discouraged. I've been here for over 14 years and posting stories for the last 13 years, but it wasn't until February of 2016 (just three years ago) that any of my stories topped 100 Kudos. Since then, I've developed a following of sorts.

Dark stories aren't for everyone. I for one, tend to like what I refer to as "Puff" pieces. I also tend to like stories that are coming of age stories that have young people coming to grips with their trans nature. So I probably won't be giving your stories a read.

However there are those who can identify with your characters and need the emotional outlet that your stories provide. If you want to build readership, my advise is to plug your stories here in your blog and take care to tag stories with cautions that let people know just what they are getting into when they open your stories.

Best of luck.

Hugs
Patricia
