This holiday season, I am publishing a new book, Transfer. And for the first time, my book will be available in most formats and platforms, not exclusively through Amazon. So, whether you read on a Kindle, or a Barnes & Noble Nook, use an iPad or ereaders from Kobo or Sony or others, you should be able to get it, anywhere in the world! So here’s the teaser for Transfer:

Transfer cover B - 1.jpg
What happens after a wish is granted?

It was a night like any other. It wasn’t a particularly important night; nothing special about it.

A 14-year-old boy named Brian went to bed—
And woke up as someone else … somewhere else.

As disorienting as this might be, it's a girl's body, too. Brian is delighted because he is transgender, and his heart’s desire seems to have been granted.

But then what? Sure, heart’s desire and all that—but what happens next?

He’s got the body to match his gender but nothing else. What is this girl’s name? Where does she live? What about her family, friends, school? There are thousands of things a person knows … and Brian doesn’t know any of them.

He doesn’t even know what a pickle tastes like.

How do you discover an identity you’ve been given, and not have anyone suspect that you have never been that person? That you are, in fact, a wholly new person? How do you do this and not get carted off in a strait jacket?

Brian hasn’t a clue. And what about his old family, friends, school—

And what about the girl whose mind was in this body yesterday?

Transfer is for Young Adult readers of all ages. I can’t give you an exact date of availability, because each of the platforms has a different publishing process. They also each have their own categories and keywords, almost none of which includes ‘transgender’ (Amazon even has the fiction category ‘billionaires’ but not ‘transgender’). It might help to contact your favorite ebook retailer to see if you can preorder (some have this; some don’t) so you’ll have your copy of Transfer as soon as they roll out!

Happy Holidays!
