It's been a long time coming but part one of the American Angel trilogy is now available for sale on Amazon.

A rapist starts to prey on transgender women in Bristol and Detective Inspector Gregg DeSilver is put in charge of the case.

His opponent is good, very good and the only way to unmask him is to look into the past but that is only the beginning.

Can DeSilver solve the case or will he need a little help from the Angels?

Extract:

The man looked at the two drivers licences he'd taken from his victims. It had made him feel good, punishing them, teaching them to try and be something that went against God's wishes.

He remembered the shame he had felt when he had caught his own Father wearing one of his Mother's dresses, parading in front of the bedroom mirror like a sissy.

His Father had been hugely embarrassed at being caught and begged his young son not to reveal his secret to anyone. That Sunday, whether driven by his own shame or because of his son’s disapproval, his Father had launched the first of his tirades against sexual deviants from the safety of his pulpit. Sat in the congregation with his Mother the boy that would grow up to be a rapist agreed with everything he heard but none of it could take away the anger and disappointment that he felt.

At least now he could block out the feeling of shame he still carried from his childhood by punishing these insults to his God that had the audacity to walk the streets pretending to be women. He just wished that the feeling of relief could last longer. Once upon a time, his reward for a punishing had lasted for weeks, now it barely lasted a day and he found himself feeling dirty and shamed once again.

Sat on the bed of his hotel room, he picked up his laptop and lifted the lid. It was far too easy getting so-called private information of the Internet, even records that weren't supposed to be available on the internet could be accessed as long as the hard drive they were stored on was connected to a network, and you knew what you were doing.

He opened a document containing a list of potential targets. It was a list that he had created himself by hacking into the computer system of the local NHS trust. He navigated his way to the trusts pharmaceutical records where he found the names of every patient being prescribed high levels of female hormones. He then used a simple algorithm to backtrack through these individual's files to discover if they had ever changed their names.

He knew that his approach didn't provide him with all the sinners in any particular area, but it gave him enough and tonight he was going to dip into his list again. He opened another file on his laptop, this one given to him by a Private Detective hired to follow potential victims and create dossiers on them all. The file told him everything he needed to know about his target and the rapist began to make a plan.

And if you haven't read the first three Angels books I suggest you pick them up too as several characters are introduced in them that looks like they will play major roles up in the latest Angels book.
