Well it caught your eye, didn't it? Sorry no Bike tonight been researching mountain gorillas in Uganda for my latest university assignment, and there is a lot of data to deal with. Life continues to be busy (when I'm awake) and I'll be back with Gorilla beringei beringei tomorrow trying to finish that part of my assignment and will also try to do another episode of the longest and most boring serial ever devised, but as there's no accounting for taste, some of you seem to like it. My co-authors are both zonked with full tummies, hence my posting this for them.

Gorrila?

Although Gorilla are interesting, I have always been more interested in Bonobo, which are more similar to us than either Gorilla or Chimpanzee.

I am pleased to hear that your co-authors are contented and asleep. Otherwise, they would be attempting to type using the four-paw method.

And, YES, I do quite thoroughly enjoy Easy as Falling of a Bike. Worse, though, I miss my Daily Dormouse. However, work first; school second; Daily Dormouse a distant third.

Enjoy!

I used to think ...

... that gorillas were engaged in fighting asymmetric war against organised forces but, at the time, I was about 10 years old and perhaps my spelling wasn't quite as good as I thought it was. Still the image of hairy apes armed with machine guns still has that je ne sais quoi :)

I hope you enjoy the possible field trip :)

Reminds me of the old joke

What do you call a 400lb gorilla with a machine gun? Anything he wants.

The field trip is virtual I'm afraid, could just do with a visit to the highlands of Uganda, though in 2008 they were charging $500 for the day trip to see our hairy cousins. Education is a wonderful thing, must get some one day.

Once The Swamp Is Drained

The gorillas will only be up to their arses in alligators and have a chance at survival. However, given the latest news from Washington that's probably not gonna happen. Their crowd size will be in dispute and subjected to the interpretation of alternative facts.

I suspect that great apes

excluding the orangutan on centre stage were noticeable by their absence. Or will that be disputed too with dodgy photoshop pictures?

Well...

Gorilla b. beringei is in dire...straits
