A Milestone

For the first time, a story of mine has reached 100 Kudos: "Bikini Beach: A Boy's Visit". For the past few days, I was watching it as a race between that story (posted a year and a third ago) and my latest, "The Family Council", posted Tuesday.
"Council" had shot up to the 70s, and then slower into the 90s. Meanwhile, "Visit" was inching up step-by-step, 96...97...98...99... So which would win? Turns out "Visit" hit first and won.
I thought it would be interesting to look at the top stories in hits, Kudos, and ratio -- in particular, the top three for each. The hit numbers are slightly behind, and of course the stories overlapped -- only five stories spanned the entire tops.
Hits | Kudos | K/H(%) | Rank | |
The Family Council | 1697 | 94 | 5.5 | 1 |
Vengeance and Beyond III | 1292 | 51 | 3.9 | 2 |
BB: A Boy's Visit | 3881 | 100 | 2.6 | 3 |
John's Living Nightmare | 9004 | 64 | 0.7 | 17 |
A Bikini Beach Summer 01-04 | 4701 | 52 | 1.1 | 16 |
A surprise: I got not only the three highest K/H ranking stories, but also the two lowest -- and nothing in between. JLN had the third highest Kudo#, but had the lowest K/H, because it had by far the highest hits.
What does this all mean? Beats the heck outa me.
