Chapter 7. Party Time

Lucy stared hard at Olga, The last time I saw you. You where in tears and so was mummy. Did you know Aunt Angela has got me a princess crown because it is my birthday?

The Captain, "In that case before we eat, we shall have some party games and sing Happy Birthday to you." A tear started to come from Olga's eyes.

Lucy, "Stop that you are not allowed to cry. I will look after you. I was sad because mummy was sick. But now I have William, Lynn & Angela they are my guardians. I have just realised I know some more of you.”

Olga, "Lucy come here and sit on my knee."

William, "Rose & Louise I did not expect to see either of you today."

Louise, "We had to come for this party."

Anna Marie, I have a girl about your age and I happen to know she likes these so I got you the same."

"Thank you very much when I can wear them I will put them on."

Louise, "Well are you going to give your Aunt a kiss.

“Yes but first I have to sit on Grandma Olga's knee and do, as she wants. I have two grandmas now. Grandma Olga & Nana Lynn. You can be my Aunt Louise if you wish.”

William, "As from today this is your Aunt Louise as she is my daughter Lucy."

Lucy looked at Louise, "You even look like my mummy. I think I will call you mummy Louise.” Louise had all the guests playing party games with her. I am hungry can we have something to eat please."

The Captain, before we all eat we have a couple more guests who have just arrived.”

Lucy was out of her chair and across the room like a rocket. “Mummy, Mummy.”

Lucinda, the doctors have only allowed me here so long as I have a nurse or too to look after me. I could not very well miss your party could I Lucy.”

Lucy looked at the woman pushing Lucinda and said, "You can also be one of my aunts."

William hugged Renate, "You are the last person I expected to see tonight."

"I was visiting family when I discovered your daughter was ill. So I thought I would gate crash the party so to speak."

Lucy, "You are a friend of Grandpa."

"Yes we both go back a long way although I have not seen him for some time as I am rather busy."

"You will have to come and visit me. Mummy and I are going to live with Grandpa & Nana & Mummy Louise."

Louise "That is me as from a few moments ago.”

Lucinda, “Lucy the lady who is pushing me is very important. I doubt that she will have time to visit you."

Lynn, "It is not a palace but you are welcome anytime."

Lucinda, "I hope you like the card Aunt Louise bought it for me."

Olga, "I think some thing else is missing.”

Lucy looked puzzled, "No I have My Mummy's and Aunts & Grandparents what else would I need?"

Renate, "Well what about a few presents also?"

"Aunt Angela got me my Princess outfit. I have these from Anna Marie." I have my mummy back now so all will be well.”

Anna Marie, "Well my mum and me are both nurses so if we are allowed to look after your mum she could stay on the boat with us."

The Captain signalled to the band that played happy birthday. A steward brought a cake with candles on. Lucy blew them out and made a wish. The steward then took the cake for cutting up

Lucy, “Could I have the piece with the fairy on please?”

Mean while all the other courses where served. After eating Angela said, “Come with me and Renate we will take you round each table.” All the ladies started to curtsy again.

Renate, “They all know you are very important today." At each table there was a card for her.

Angela, “There are lots of cards for you. And we might even find a few presents.”

“But I have already got my presents.”

Renate, "I think a few others might think differently."

The captain, "We had a special delivery for a special little girl."

Lucy looked at the pile of presents and then said, "Mummy Louise you will have to help me unwrap them and so can my Aunts."

Before long Lucy was in the centre of a pile of wrapping paper. Lucinda said, “Would somebody check on her as she had gone very quiet?”

William looked and then picked her up. "It appears she wishes to go to bed."

Louise, "I will take her to your cabin and stay with her."

Anne Marie, "I will come to open the doors and we need a chat."

Lynn curtsied to Renate and said, "Thank you your majesty."

Renate, "I am not the only Royal William is friends with. Neither am I the only one who’s wanted your job Lynn."

Lynn, "For years you had William puzzled but it was not until we watched a documentary on Liechtenstein that he finally twigged who you were."

"Ha Fritz & Heidi I forgot you had met up with some of my cousins."

"So are you Princesses or a Duchess."

"Well neither actually it is Renate of Bavaria."

William looked blank. Olga, "Renate I am glad to see you here it is not often we get together these days."

William, "I take it you know each other."

Olga, "We used to sleep in the same bed at times."

Lynn, "So besides being godmother to our daughter are you also Royal."

Olga, "Lynn look at the change in your pocket and you will get the answer."

Lynn looked, “Oh Queen Olga of Norway. Sorry I find it very funny neither William nor I had any inkling of what you did. I take it Rose is a Princess or something then?"

“Princess but she never uses it, as is Anna Marie.” Olga said, "Renate is not the only Queen, William walked out with. There was another two we think he was trying to get a full set of Queens. Kirsten and Angela along with Lucinda who was being pushed by Angela arrived at the berth.

“We though we had better call and check up on Lucy.”

Olga, “We now have the full set in here." William looked at Angela and then across at Helga.

"I have just realised what you mean. I did not realise when we talked in the Tivoli. I apologise Kirsten.”

Lynn, "That also means Angela must be the fourth."

Angela, that’s not bad going it, has only taken you thirty years to realise."

With that the group all started to laugh. As they were all laughing Lucy woke up and said Aunt Kirsten will you take me to the toilet please."

When they both came back Lucy said, “Grandpa why are you giving Aunt Kirsten funny looks?”

“I tell you what I think. I think I have a very pretty princess for a Grand daughter. I also think us winning a competition were no accident.”

William turned to Lucinda and said, "Truthfully when where you born?"

Lucinda, “Sorry Louise we do share the same birthday, but I am three years older than you."

Kirsten looked down at Lucy and said, “Today in the hospital was when I was sure just who Lucinda was. Especially when her sister was there. Lynn, William was never less that the perfect gentleman with me although he talks in his sleep." William was practising his proposal in his sleep so I knew what was coming. The following evening was going to be my last during the day William tried unsuccessfully to propose to me. Had he managed I would have accepted. I decided I was going to have to take the initiative. Just before bed I slipped William a tasteless drug. He was out like a light. I then did something I am not proud of. The following morning William had no recollection of what I did. He drove me to the docks and there gave me a kiss and said I love you. I was in tears as we left & he promised to come and visit me. Back at home I started being sick. Father was less than pleased when I told him & he said we will not talk about this again. He had two courtiers bring the child up. I did not realise who she was and often saw her playing around. Father took the secret of where my child was to the grave.”

“Eventually I got married but could never have any more children, as my husband was sterile. I had realised you were celebrating your wedding and I have kept a discrete eye on you both over the years. I know you both have had a hard time and I decided you should win a trip. My office put that in to practice. Even meeting you in Tivoli was no accident. What was not foreseen was Lucinda had been engaged by a housekeeper to look after my old home on Bonhomie? I knew nothing about that.”

Angela, “I contacted Kirsten and gave her a piece of my mind when I discovered the condition Lucinda was in.”

Kirsten, "You should have heard what she said it was pure Anglo-Saxon."

"Then Angela informed me that she along with William & Lynn are the child's guardians as we have signed in the presence of the mother.”

Queen Helga, "I thought I had better visit the young woman. It was when I saw here I realised it was my missing daughter. A blood test and a few questions revealed the truth. Even stranger was the fact her real father had just signed the adoption papers to make Lucinda his daughter. I had intended having a celebration wedding party for you but instead it was altered to a Lucy birthday party. The last time Angela gave me a telling off was when I told her how I got with child. It was Angela who told father the truth. He apparently had told her where he had placed the baby. Angela never let on to me until she realised who the young woman was."

For a minute there was a stunned silence then Renate said, "Are there any more secrets that need to come out.” Lucy who had dropped off to asleep awoke as this was being said. I have a big secret to tell about Grandpa William.”

Lynn, "I think I know what is coming. I am still in love with William but we have had a slight problem for some time. Sometime ago William fell and needed medical treatment. It was discovered he had an illness that required surgery. Following this the drugs he has to take had a strange effect on his body.”

William, "Lucy did you see Nana putting bandages on me?” Lucy nodded her head. “At home I would have used some support but on here I have to use bandages.

Lynn, I tried to tell him it was not a good idea.

Lucy spoke, "Grandpa you need a proper bra like mummy." At this they all cracked out laughing.

Lynn, “William gets self conscious about his development."

Olga, "Well William are you going to show us?

William undid his shirt. Lynn started to undo the bandages and before long they could all see what William had been trying to hide.

Kirsten, "Is all his body smooth like this?"

William replied. “If I go swimming all my body hair just drops out. I have been having difficulty in getting any clothes to fit.”

Lucinda started to laugh, "Sorry dad but it is obvious to us all here you will have to be taken in hand."

Louise, "Dad I knew you both said there was problems but even I did not realise you looked like that."

Olga fished out a tape measure and said, "Will you let me see what size you actually are?"

William, "You all know now. Lynn will tell you how self conscious I get over them."

Kirsten, "William if you had been my husband as I planned I would have had you wearing the correct garments. Binding yourself like this is plain silly. With Lynn’s Permission when we get back I am booking you into a private clinic to get their advice about you.”

Louise, “Dad it is obvious to all of us you need to wear a bra like the rest of us and I think the clinic will find most of your remaining body is as feminine."

Lynn looked at William, “Lynn has been buying me ladies jeans for some time because they fit better."

Lynn, "Actually a clinic might be needed. He appears to be lactating again."

Lucy, “I do not understand all this but grandpa makes a comfy pillow for me.” The next instant she was fast asleep on William's knee.

Olga, "Look at those two they are both asleep.”

Lynn looked at her watch, "Spot on time. He will not stir now for the next 3 hours or so. There could be an earthquake or explosion and he would sleep through it. Kirsten I know how frustrated you must have been. I do know he sleeps solidly & I also managed to play with it before we were married. He never ever knew.”

Lucinda, “I keep looking at mum Lynn & Mum Kirsten & I am not surprised dad went for either of you.”

Louise, "I agree sister because our mums could be twins themselves."

Lucinda, “They do look alike don't they."

Lynn, "My mums mum died in child birth and an uncle brought her up as his daughter."

Lucinda said, “Well sister I think we both now have two mums or possibly three now."

Louise stated to pluck her dads eyebrows. They have annoyed me for some time and now he is asleep he will not know. Lucinda started on the opposite side and before long they had given them a nice shape.

Lucinda, “Lynn did I hear you correctly? You did say my dad was lactating again." Look at Lucy and what she is doing. She was fast asleep but still sucking away. Apparently my daughter is quite happy.”

Lynn, “I am the partial cause of him not wanting to wear the correct clothing." He remembers a program about transsexuals and what I said at the time. He has no real idea where I get his clothing. The shirts and socks is the only male clothing he is wearing these days.”

Kirsten, "You have not got him in skirts and dresses yet."

Ann Marie started to do William's Eyelids, “He has lovely eyelashes.” She looked across at Olga and said, "With makeup on he would look like you Aunt Olga."

Olga spoke in to her mobile phone and said, "Maria can you come to state cabin 1 and bring all your equipment then can you inform Lisa I want to speak to her."

Lisa answered the phone, "Yes Madame, Yes I will bring all those as requested."

Before long the two females arrived at the stateroom. The maids looked at the sleeping William. Olga said, "We have decided to give my sister a makeover as she has been a tomboy for long enough."

Maria, “Can we get her in the dress before I start on the Hair and nails?"

Even Lynn got in on the act, "Helga we could have had a lot of fun if we had been sisters." "Maria after you have those two matching can you also do us."

Maria, "This is going to confuse everybody on board the ship." Maria looked across at Anna Marie, Louise & Lucinda. “I suppose you three also want to look the same?”

Anna Marie, “Well we had not thought of that but as you suggested perhaps we could try and see what we look like.”

“Madame does your sister always sleep as heavy as this. I could redo her make up just like yours is done. I also brought a wig, as I was not sure what your sisters’ hair was like.”

A short while later Lynn said, "I can not believe how much you both look alike. I suppose it is our turn now Kirsten.”

The maid arrived back with matching dresses they had just finished when the ship doctor called. “I have to take a blood sample from the young lady.”
