Just do it my parents said.
I can't I won't.
What if, what about.
My dad my cut my me off.
That's all we hear, what if, what about.
You have nothing to fear.
Your allowed to wear what you want to wear.
Be who you are there is no shame in that.
People will laugh my friends won't like me anymore I told my parents.
The ones that laugh or call you names where never real friends to begin with and that would be a shame.
But the ones who embrace you are angels from heaven.
The choice is yours, you will see, happier you will be.
I will help my mother said.
I want my daughter to be pretty not look like she just got out of bed.
So the very next day my mom got me dressed.
A pair of white tights.
A pretty school dress.
Pigtails with ribbons.
And maryjane shoes .
My new barbie backpack.
Little girls perfume.
A little cardigan.
I was ready for school.
The day went well with a few snickers and laughs.
But most kids and teachers told me who pretty I looked.
When I got home I ran in the house.
So how did it go my parents asked.
You where right I told them and they began to laugh.
We told you it will be fine.
I ran and game my parents a hug.
We love you princess they both said.
