The Girl Inside

 © Nick B May 2007

Here's a little ditty I put together over the last couple of days I thought may interest some. It's only short so there's no excuse for passing it by. If nothing else it'll hopefully make you smile and I'm sure there are some out there who would be interested if it really did exist...

I want to be a girly
Not masculine at all
I’d rather be just five feet six
Than over six feet tall

I’ve tried to change the viewpoint
To show the real me
With clothes, close shaves and makeup
But that’s not what you’ll see

You’ll see a man in ladies clothes
And not the girl inside
It’s kind of only half way there
And that I can’t abide

I only want to be the girl
And nothing else will do
So people see the real me
Female through and through

So since I cannot change my shape
I need a different route
A new way into girlhood
A way to make me cute

I’ve searched and searched for wizards
Like the one from SRU
Or Anya’s gran from bikini beach
To make my dream come true

So meanwhile if you see them
Would you please let me know?
I need a spell to change my bod
And let the girly show

Then I can be the one inside
The one that can’t get out
So if they pass or drop around
Just give me a shout.

Or if you find a spell somewhere
That changes man to girl
I’d be so very pleased indeed
In giving it a whirl

Meantime I’ll just carry on
To search and find a cure
That makes me what I need to be
A woman true and pure

I wish

That's really nice. A gentle touch of the wistfuls. More than a few, me included, can relate to that little ditty.
Pure tongue in cheek; wishful, woulda', coulda, shoulda', stuff. And maybe...channeling a bit of Monty Python. But no... you're English... you wouldn't... would you?

I wish

Never.

A wish the heart makes

Dear Nick,

Were it in my power, I would fulfill the wishes of all my friends here. But wishes, like Hope, are an illusion. Dreams, wishes and Hope tend to keep me sane just a little longer though, so I will stick with them while I can. There is a form of magic in the stories I like to read, it takes me to a brighter place if even just for a short time.

Thank you for sharing your stories with me.

with love,

Hope

Story Magic

I feel there is a certain amount of real magic in many stories. The magic is grounded in the belief that the impossible just might be made possible and is fed by strong imaginations and stubborn determination.

An example of this is going to the moon. There had been a time when stories about flying to the moon were considered pure fantasy, but people wrote them anyway. Many people read them and dreamed. Others turned those dreams into reality.

I hope, if enough people read our stories, someone will find a way to make them a reality. In the meantime, I think it's okay to dream the impossible. It's one of the ways we can reach beyond what we "know" to be true and, hopefully, get a glimpse of the magic that lies just beyond it. :)

I realy like this Nick. We

I realy like this Nick. We all look for a wonder cure that can make us truly female, even when we are post-op. You have written a very sincere and heartfelt poem from the depths of your soul. The word flow and rhyme are perfect, and the poem is easy to read and follow. Thank you for sharing that part of you. :P
