Snap-In Tools

Printer-friendly version

This is a drabble (100 word story) based on a joke I'd once made about a company a friend of mine had worked for that sounded very close to Snap-In Tools. I'm not really sure of the rating. If anyone thinks I should change it, please let me know. Enjoy! :)

Henry noticed the draft between his legs a moment before hearing the splash at his feet. Looking down, he saw his genitals sloshing around in the warm, sudsy water. With a heavy sigh, he scooped them up, stepped out of the shower, carefully dried them off with a fluffy white towel before doing the same for his crotch. Then he slipped his genitals back in place and twisted the base slightly until he felt muffled snick deep inside. With another deep sigh, he stepped back into the shower and muttered, “They really don’t make Snap-In Tools like they used to.”

Too Short?

How can a story be too short for the Too Short category? :)

Cute little joke.

Too short

It's too short to be too short, so it is shorter than short or rather too too short. How much wood could a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood.

I can't believe that you

I can't believe that you would make jokes about his tool.

*slapping forehead*

Oops! I don't know how I missed the too short category. I guess when you write a story about how things can go wrong, sometimes things can go wrong. ;D

Short

Since the story is barely twice as long as the 'advertisment' for it, I guess it really is VERY short. I've seen stories with sentences longer then this whole thing (admittedly, they were not very good stories). It's so short I doubt anyone will make a comment about the lack of paragraphs ;)

I do agree with the previous comment that it does leave the reader curious about a lot of things, but then again that's often the goal of short stories.

I really need to stop here or my comment will be longer then the story. :D

Yep, it's short alright!

A nice little play on words and tools. Oh, but the image it conjured up for me! Sweet!

That's all I got. Couldn't resist.

Tools

Funny!

I buy Craftsman. If they break or don't work, you can take them back and get another. :)

Hum, but what about ...

Funny.

You know Snap-on is from Wisconsin. It makes one wonder if *that* particular line of Snap-on Tools is made in Johnsonville, the famous sausage-making town.
