For those of you who may have enjoyed my story, and would like to see the gowns that were the basis for what I described (and might like to know some background for the story), I've prepared this little page.

Notes

Stevie's dream gown I can no longer find the URL for or I'd share it with you. But, here's the photo:

The other three gowns I do have the URLs for, and will post them in addition to the images.

As to the story itself...

As I indicated at the beginning of each section, I share a dream with many here of being a bridesmaid. I suspect this story was as close as I'll ever be to being one. LOL

The "nobody" event did happen to me, with a friend... And, I did sign my name "nobody" for quite a number of years thereafter. That's about all the resemblance the friend had to the Carol in the story.

The "comming out" trip (to a different friend) was actually planned, but events conspired to cause it to be cancelled before it happened.

The rest of the story was pure fiction... And, no, I wouldn't complain should reality echo fiction. LOL. But, I already said that, didn't I.

Thank you all for reading. I hope some of you may have enjoyed the pictures. (They may eventually be pulled, as I don't have the copyright... But, as long as the hosting sites don't re-0rganize (like next month) you still have access to the inspirational pictures there.

Thank You.

I just want to say thank you for sharing with us your wonderful story. I deeply appreciate the fact that the chapters came quickly enough that I didn't loose track of the story line and you brought it to a conclusion, instead of just walking away and leaving it to die, as so many authors seem to do. I know it takes a lot of research to do this good a job. I know that I speak for many with our chorus of "Well Done", and if a sequel tries to pop up out of this, I hope that you will share that too. Lol.

It was a very good story. I really enjoyed it. So what if it was a little wish fulfillment. I suspect that you're not the only one with that particular dream! :)

Big Hugs!

I think

the story says more than you give it credit for. Rather than reluctant, maybe hesitant is a better choice. However, THANK YOU for sharing. I hope you get your dream fulfilled.

THANKS FOR THE DREAM!

Dear Annette
Thanks for your wonderful story. It was very readable and I appreciate the pacing of the chapter releases and the completion. As well I want to say how appreciative I am of the after thoughts for your readers. While your descriptions were very readable and clear to understand and immagine, the pictures are really worth a thousand words each. Great job and I hope to see more of your writting; Another Brian

Annette, Thank you again for

Annette, Thank you again for a sweet and very lovely story. The pictures you have posted are FAB to say the least. What utterly feminine gowns, and the colors are super. I really love the bridal gown with the colored sash. It takes the gown to another level. I hope you might have another "Dream" that will give us a look into Stevie's and Shelly's lives, say about 5-6 years later than the current story. Hugs to you, Happy Holidays, J-Lynn

Thanks, Annette

I appreciate getting a look at the dresses, that bridesmaid dress actually looks like one I'd be willing to wear again (if the circumstances were right). And that blue gown is such a lovely color, my favorite.

I'm not big on strapless gowns, primarily because I'm not big. ;-) I particularly don't care for the current wedding dress style. The halter-style bridges it nicely. (Not that I'm ever gonna have to worry about it.) Lovely dress!

Thanks Annette,

I'll echo others, and thank you for both the story and the pictures, well worth reading and seeing.
There is room here, I think, for a little vignette in a year or twos time about how you, the author, think things may have turned out in the end. Or maybe not, the story stands, as is, well enough,
Thanks, again, Annette, I thoroughly enjoyed the story and the pictures,

Word search

The English Teacher's picture

I finding after reading many of your stories that I have experienced some trepidation over the choice of some words used often in each chapter and story. :)

So much to read, so little time and only one of me!

If you don't want to share in a comment, I'd appreciate PMs with why some of my word choices fill you with trepidation. And, that they may be used often makes me more concerned.

That said, I thank you for reading. (I welcome comments from all readers.)
