In this Chapter, Drustina finally enables the Gay King Athun to fulfill his kingly duty towards Elthorn his queen. After enabling the essential act of consumation the King beseeches Drustina to stay at least until an infant is born of his union with the queen.

Chapter 17

To me movies were an odd thing for me. I never really got the chance to be into them like other people because mostly growing up all we had was a poor example of a video store and there was the fact that anything fantasy or science fiction was “that foolishness.” And I had my “head in the clouds enough as it is.”

So being with Brandy and just curled up together watching movies that I’ve never seen before is a huge treat and it’s revealing worlds to me that I really just never got a chance to see before.

On the way back to Nina's room, Christina felt a mechanical rumble from the back pocket of her jeans. She took out her cell phone and saw that Richard was calling. She immediately froze, feeling a slight tightness in her chest. She was transfixed by the name on the tiny screen and was unable to move her fingers on the device before the call went to voice mail. Christina waited for the notification that indicated there was a new voice message, but it never came. Instead, there was a second rumble indicating that she'd just received a text message. She felt her stomach sink and it was though she'd temporarily lost her ability to differentiate up from down. She forced herself to read the message.

It read simply, "We should talk."

I would first suggest that any readers read back to Chapter 55 just to pick up any loose threads and recollect the gist of this saga. basically, for any newcomers, The Angry mermaid is a story that describe's Drustina's many adventures as she tries to make her way home and recover her homelands from the Viking Pirates who stole it from her when she was only fourteen and lucky to escape with her/his life.

We pick up the story where Drustina has visited Brendigan to use her testimony to ensure the succession to the throne of Dame-mark and thus ensure a lawful peace amongst the Baltic and Scandinavian countries.
