Hellbound Dolls - Chapter 1

The store was sick under the fluorescent buzz. Dust caked with grease permeated the corners, and uneven spots spread across the linoleum. A pop song from childhood bled dry of bass fizzled from a speaker. Even for those such as ourselves this was slumming it, but the price could not be beat.

The Pine Lake Incident

The town, lake, national reserve and the people in this story are all fictional.

Be warned, this is not a pretty story. It has several instances of physical abuse and actual violence.

The story is set in the near future, starting from early November 2017. Much of it takes place the next spring.

To Be a Different Someone: Chapter 12 "For The Love of Him"

My morning run that day never happened, at least not in a physical manner. I had several dreams that I ran all over the city, the country, maybe a bit of the world. I wasn’t avoiding anything. No boogieman or demonic figure was chasing me down—and by that, yes, I meant my dad. I was moving toward something, but I never saw what it was.

Please read and comment, guys and gals and others.

There are many on here, myself included, who have faced, are currently facing, or will eventually face severe crises in their lives. I think we, as a community of like-minded individuals, should have a contingency plan in place to support and aid our peers. I'd like to, with the permission of the moderators, form a support group where anyone, at any time, could come and safely find the support, understanding, and guidance they need to face life's challenges.

The clock on the wall silently ticked away as Francis sat on his bed, thinking. Just where, exactly, had things began to go wrong? When had his life began to horribly unravel?

Was it when he first realized, at four, that he was different from the other little boys in his play group?

Sinking Into Myself Chapter 2: "Ten Men"

The young girl sat alone during the lunch hour. She didn't sit with the other students in the lunchroom. No, she walled herself in the safety of a classroom. While others were out on the field talking and running (one would not dare call it "recess" in junior high) she stayed behind to read a book.
"What are you doing in here, cow?"
She refused to look up from her reading--not wanting to give her tormentor the satisfaction.
"Are you too afraid to be with the others? Or are you afraid you’ll squash them flat?"
"I don’t weigh that much."

11th Sun: Chapter 16: Father

Checks take about an hour, there’s only three pages to run through. I’m not taking off in an atmosphere, and the engine hasn’t been cool for too long. In fifteen minutes the drive is hot.

Solid fuel is fine. Water is fine. I went out and bought 25 lbs of food. Fresh vegetables and fruit (at an obscene markup), rice, bread, adventuresome pizza, beef, pork, rabbit, sausage, some whale, and gas station sushi. Gas station sushi is never a good idea, and for some reason I keep buying it. I throw out some noodles with a sense of vindication and relief.

Glimmer Girl: Secret Origins - All That Glimmers #2

Mirrors aren’t known to be forgiving, but with some effort they can warm to you. I laid out my brush and straightener, foundation, concealer, eyeliner, and lip gloss; they were but a handful of tools required to scrub the ‘boy’ away.

It was by luck and her Mom’s difficulty with stairs that Tanya landed the master bedroom, complete with walk-in closet and bathroom ensuite. The running joke was she had more space than she could use, and no incentive to leave for college. For a high school girl and her not-cisgender friend, however, it was the ideal refuge.

Glimmer Girl: Secret Origins - All That Glimmers #1

It started with a bang; not an explosion, but atoms accelerated toward infinity. That was the end of my so-called ‘ordinary’ life. Maybe it was fate that guided me into the line of fire, the same day a madman sought revenge for his bruised ego.

Once upon a time there was no such thing as Glimmer Girl, or even Kaira Cade. This is my story.

Reversals - Ch12

A successful woman is convinced a female lead marriage is the best path forward and as her career is taking off, her unemployed husband is expected to fill traditional female roles like homemaker and nursing mother. In this chapter… Samantha comes to dinner and Eric serves.

It Can Only Go Up From Here (short scene)

"I miss this. The family getting together again here again." Aunt Lydia stated as passed a bowl of dressing to Grans.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Mom snarled.
"It means I miss the family getting together-"
"We used to get together but you decided to stop it."
Aunt Lydia placed her hands on her lap, bowed her head and closed her eyes, in an attempt to stay calm.
"Rachel, this is not--"
"It's a perfect time to talk about it. Seeing the fact that we're 'all' here, right? Mom, me, you, Alan, Krystal, James--and who are you again?"

Reversals - Ch11

Separation

Separation

It was the most difficult letter Lori ever had to write. She knew she couldn’t be free of him until it was finished and filed. When she was small, she was shamed by the torment. Day after day, the abuse mounted—but living well was the best revenge, wasn’t it?

Hellbound Dolls - Akane's Story

AUTHOR'S NOTE: A while ago I set about to write an action/horror magical girl story with some Tokyo trans sukeban (read: girl gang) called "The Hellbound Dolls." This vignette follows one of the Dolls, Akane, whose ultimate struggle is to realize she's worthy of love. This installment does not have a happy ending, so read at your own peril.

The Best Damn Thing (starter paragraph)

This probably should be listed as a blog entry...but I would like to get an opinion on it

this novella is about girl who identities herlself as "moonprysim" and various street names. She never gives her name but does give her deadname (as she hated it)and, well
, still working on it.

The Best Damn Thing

One of Those Girls

I'm picturing my own room, the one that I never had.

Arista is.. suffering too, apparently? [5.10]

CraterLake1.jpg

There's always two sides to every story, sometimes more, which can get rather messy in all honesty so it's probably better to stick with just two for now, right?

The problem with bad guy's is that, rather predictably, they lie sometimes.
It makes it rather hard to take anything they say seriously... unless they offer proof at least.

Events unfold including but not limited to:
Arista explaining the world as she see's it,
Ari being useful at long last
(although not half as useful as John apparently is)
and Hannah has enough dignity left to blush when confronted with the truth about her relationship with the smirking-wonder from multiple, utterly annoying, angles!

To Be a Different Someone: Chapter 1 "Black Eyes, Blue Tears"

This is the first chapter of the story I wrote before "I Am Rosemary's Granddaughter". This is the same as the sample version on Amazon, but it may be easier to read on the site.
The original story was titled "FLAW" and was based on the Shania Twain song "Man, I Feel Like a Woman" but the publisher made me change it as to avoid anyone getting mad over the word "feel" (one assumes they never heard the song).

So, here is the first chapter of "To Be a Different Someone"

I Am Rosemary's Granddaughter Chapter 8: Stupid Things

Stupid Things

"Kristopher?" My dad was the only person in the world who ever addressed me by that name. My mother would call me 'Kris' and my grandmother would refer to me as "Kristi" whenever he wasn't around. Not because she was afraid of him but because I asked her not to as it would only cause a scene with my father spouting out all sort of rhetoric on how I was the last of the Novoselic men and how I should be thankful and lucky to be the last male in the family--to know that the name and creed would live on.

I Am Rosemary's Granddaughter Chapter 7: Wanderlust

Wanderlust

It had been a few weeks and for some reason KA was still with Michael...or maybe that was the other way around. They spent a lot of time talking about things...they even included me in some of their discussions and--as much as I wanted to feel great for my friend, I felt like I was slowly getting cut off.

I mean, I felt less like a friend and more like the girl in the movies that was a little crazy but also had an unrequited love to the guy who saw her, but thought of her as a friend....which I was.

I Am Rosemary's Granddaughter Chapter 6: Learning to Fly

Learning to Fly

Karen Anne was slow in acquiring Michael for herself because he was unsure about what to really do with her. She didn't like horses, guns, or got his humor like I did. Like I've said, I didn't see KA as my former girlfriend but more as my personal 'Jolene'.
She didn't change--much--after prom. There was a bit of frost between us, more from her than me and it was evident whenever she saw Michael talking with me about, well, whatever guys talk about; the stupid stuff, you know?

I Am Rosemary's Granddaughter Chapter 4: Karen Anne

Chapter 4
Karen Anne

Even though I said I would wear the dress, I was so on the brink of running to the bedroom and putting my comfortable clothes back on. I was about to change back into my security blankets but Grandma wouldn't have it and she had me sit down and tried to do something with my hair in the three hours we had before having to leave for Starkville. I left the house for the first time in a skirt, two clip-on earrings in my ears and my hair actually looking somewhat feminine.

I Am Rosemary's Granddaughter Chapter 3: Too Far to Drive

Too Far to Drive

We left the campus at three-thirty, ready to take a six-but we usually made it in under four-hour drive from Knoxville Tennessee to Starkville, Mississippi. The drive took us through Southeast Tennessee, then Alabama and Mississippi. We sometimes made stops in Birmingham and Tupelo before heading south to Columbus, where my grandmother lived.

I Am Rosemary's Granddaughter Chapter 2: Lie A Little

Lie a Little

Our dorm shared the bathroom with the one next door. We weren't exactly friends with our neighbors but we didn't barricade ourselves in our room...well, sometimes we did, especially at night as it would look peculiar if we were found sharing the same bed, regardless of how we could try to explain it. We were in an all-guys dorm, after all. I thought that I could handle being surrounded by a legion of guys of every shape, size and color...and I could...sometimes.

I Am Rosemary's Granddaughter Chapter 1: Paper Airplane

So when I make big mistake
When I fall flat on my face
I know I'll be alright
Should my tender heart be broken
I will cry those teardrops knowin'
I will be just fine
Because nothing changes who I am

Arista is.. not finished yet [5.8]

ourIceMain.jpg

A wise person once said:
'No-one messes with my family!'
Another wise person once responded with:
'I'd like to see you try and stop me.'

They weren't having a conversation or anything, just two random statements of fact across the centuries which have no connection or relevance to anything whatsoever really, I'm sure.

Events unfold including but not limited to:
A zap, a snap, and some screaming.
oh, but the screaming...

Not one for the faint of heart I'm afraid, but all is not lost quite yet, we can only hope.

Corey and Celia, Chapter 1

Corey and Celia
Chapter 1

I’m screaming from under the covers of my bed again. My shriek pains my own ears. It's a shriek that chills the blood. I rarely sleep at night. When I do, the lights are 'on'. I must have fallen asleep in the afternoon. The darkness and silence envelop me and fill me with fear. I can feel him in the room. Feel his presence. It’s like he’s watching me. Stalking me. Celia rushes into my room. Mom’s working late again. My younger sister pulls me into her arms. I tremble with fear. I didn’t use to be this way. This—afraid. Ever since… Him… His ghost haunts me. It’s been a year since we were rescued. Celia now dwarfs me. She’s bigger and now she’s my protector. I begin to sob as all of the fear melts with Celia’s presence. “Shhh. I’m here. Shhh. He can’t hurt you anymore." All the treatment and therapist in the world can’t free me from him. Even in death, he assaults me.

I calm down bit more, “I’m so sorry.” Her apology takes me back to our captivity. Celia was the lucky one. She was left unharmed… At least physically. She hugs me tighter, hoping to squeeze the memory from my soul. It just brings it to the surface…

WildFire Chapter 9

Sasha couldn’t help to think there was more going on here. They had left the warehouse with the men still tied up waiting for Sasha’s aunt to send her team in. They had met her aunt a few times and knew she was a dangerous person.

Dusk and Jack had met Sasha’s mother and father and knew for a fact that both were dangerous. They had watched them spar against each other and saw how deadly the two were. They knew Sasha father was Special Forces and an instructor, but they couldn’t believe
Sasha’s mother. She was just as deadly as her husband.
