Site never stops loading

It's probably nothing, but I just want to inform in case the site's administrators aren't aware of it.

For the past few weeks (maybe a couple of months already) the site doesn't seem to ever stop loading. It's not that the site loads half or anything like that. The site already loaded completely, but my browser tells me that the site is still loading. You know that circle thing in chrome tab name and the dot thing that move left and right in firefox tab name.

The reason why next Cross Race Destiny is not yet up

To those who read my work, you probably noticed that I said Cross Race Destiny was going to be up before Christmas. Unfortunately, although it's mostly done, it's not actually done yet. I haven't been able to work on it since a few days before Christmas. The reason being mostly because of work.

Short Story: Valkyrie's Child

Hi everyone, this is one of the stories that I wrote for a story-writing competition. If this is accepted, it may be chosen for full novel adaptation. I greatly appreciate suggestions, comments and for those who can help fix my grammar, I offer my thanks in advance. Please don't remove the original if you wish to edit it, just copy paste under the paragraphs and fix it there.

As for why I'm using Google Drive, it's because GD is not indexed. I don't want them to claim that this has been published before just because the can google it.

My first ever 1-star review

I am depressed...

I started the day with my first ever 1-star review on Felicia's Second Life. Here's what the reviewer said:

[blockquote]Couldn't get past 40% of the preview By H on January 16, 2016
This may appeal to anime fans, but only if you don't mind the typos, the grammatical mistakes, the bad editing and the cliche dialog. Not sure why anyone would pay money for this. [/blockquote]

40%? Like WTF? You haven't even finished the prologue!

He didn't even buy the damned book.

Yay! Felicia's on Amazon!

As the title says: Yay! Felicia's Second Life is now up on Amazon!

FSL

Darn, I thought publishing an ebook is easy. I have absolutely no idea it would take me over a month. I feel like crying. I'll cry further if it turns out my book is so uninteresting that nobody outside would buy it. Well, here's hoping that FSL will become a success.

Thanks a lot to Eric and my readers here.

Selling ebook in Amazon for non-US citizen

Hi all,

Perhaps many of you know that I've been readying Felicia's Second Life for publishing on Amazon. What everyone doesn't know is that I'm wracking my brain trying to understood this whole withstanding tax thing.

It stated there that Amazon will withhold 30% withholding tax for non-US citizens. To overcome this, I need to give my income tax number. The problem is I don't have a tax income number because my income never reach the taxable rate.

Felicia's Second Life Map #1

Hi everyone.

As the first book is almost over (only 1 chapter left and 3 side stories), I've decided to spend some time making the map for Felicia's Second Life.

Hopefully with this, my readers can imagine the world easier. Please take note that there may be revisions to this map in the future, but this should give a rough idea of where things go.

Felicia's flagship

Ok, so those reading my new story, Felicia's Second Life may be aware of how Felicia's turning everything upside down with her 'inventions'. In chapter 4, she will be introducing another 'invention' that would look like Eiffel Tower to these backward people. No, there's no actual tower involved.

In chapter 4, she will build ships. It starts with a cog, then larger ships. Let's talk about the largest ship.

Editor for Felicia's Second Life

Hi all,

Just as you noticed, I've posted a new story titled Felicia's Second Life. To cut long story short, I will need someone to proofread this story. I'm writing it on my tablet and I'm afraid sometimes I was writing it in a rush that I didn't notice that I made grammatical errors. So, I need someone to proofread my grammar.

Projects

Hi all,

Without realizing it, it's been over a month since I last published any chapters. I thank those who mailed me. And those who don't, I'm sure you're still waiting :P I'm so sorry, it's simply that my gig on Fiverr had been selling pretty well that I was forced to increase it's value to reduce commissions or end up working day and night on Christmas. If anyone's looking for an English to Malay translations or vice versa, do look me up. My name there is Shineris, typing 'Malay translation' will bring you to me, which is the top gig in the genre. Anyway, here's the status of my stories:

New Half-Lilin sequel - choose your heroes

Just yesterday night, I received a vision, after taking a dose of Panadol and falling asleep on my coffeebean-filled pillow. There I received a revelation, a storyline for a new Half-Lilin sequel, The Quest of Heroes! I know most people have forgotten the Half-Lilin series, what with the first installment being so terribly written and all. Not to mention that most of those who actually liked this story had mostly either disappeared or passed away (I miss Stan).

Plausible budget?

I was working on the spreadsheet of a budget sheet for the county of Maurice for my story 'The Bride's Groom'. After I'm done with it though, I notice a problem. The amount of gold being handled in a small island country such as Maurice is too much! Considering that 1 gold can buy a man two loaves of french bread, the amount here is incredible. Yes, I know, someone will say that "No way they have such advanced taxation system in Victorian England or the decimals." Well, I choose to have advanced taxation system, because for the purpose of the story, I can't use an annual tax type.

< br > tag not working?

A few hours ago, I posted the 3rd chapter of The Bride's Groom and I noticed that the text in my blockquote doesn't skip a line. So I added the < br > tag and it didn't work. I thought that it's just because the blockquote coding kills internal tags, so I let it go. But then I also notice that the br tags I put at the end of the chapter also doesn't work.

Can anyone tell me what I did wrong? Or any other way I can make fix the spacing in the blockquote and the end of my chapter?

What's your writing song?

Everyone has heard of 'thinking hat' or 'writing desk', but has anyone heard of 'writing song'? Basically it's the song that you hear to get yourself upbeat and in the mood to write something. Or it can also be a song that inspires you to do more than without. As for me, while I have plenty of imagination, I can't get in the mood to write if I don't have my writing songs on.

Pray for MH370

On March 8th, 2014 Flight MH 370/CZ748, disappeared over Gulf of Thailand. To this day, there has been no sign of the plane or any leads apart from the recent China weather satellite photos of 3 'debris', which the Malaysian spotters claimed to be missing from the coordinates given. Speculations as well as conspiracy theories run unchecked among Malaysian citizens.

The scariest story of your life!

Recently I came across the scariest webtoon of my life while looking for information of ghosts that inhabit the internet. I don't mean the movie. I came across this, which didn't look scary at first, but watch out, read the disclaimer. It almost made me, who cannot be scared off by ghost stories scream in fear. Well, to tell the truth, I did scream like a little girl.

I present to you Bongcheon-Dong Ghost Don't worry, it's in English.

Selling fiction on Amazon.

I've read some blogs on Bigcloset lately about selling your book on Amazon and Kindle. My question, does it actually work? As in does it actually make money? I'm not talking about a payment of 100-200USD once in a blue moon, I'm asking if it's enough for someone to live in conditions that can be described as middle class in a city like, say, Boston for half a year.

What are the pros and cons or special considerations for selling in such a place?

What Horror Movies Do You Like?

Recently I've been asked by an old friend of mine to write a script for his feature movie (this will be his first movie). Nothing too extravagant nor complicated, mind you, but something that can make people scream and possibly die of heart attack. Having never written horror stories before, this is a bit of a challenge. My aim is to write the best story which my friend, the first-time director will be able to create into a real masterpiece. So said, the best ghost movie of all time, or at least for the next 5 years.

Half Lilin Rewrite

Thank you to those who mailed me asking me when I would continue to story. I'm sorry that it took me so long to continue. I just had a tiny bit of problem. Still has, but I think I'll try to ignore it and just start writing again.

However, when I reread the story earlier, I was horrified at the lack of imagery in the story. I mean, I know how it goes, how the characters look like because I can see them all in my head. The readers can't see what I see, so I decided to do a rewrite. Nothing major, but I will try to address the problem with giving more life to the characters.
