Trying to find a story

I am trying to find a story that I read years back.

It might have been by Bob Arnold, and his characters from Zapped! were involved in it to a small extent.

It was about a boy who was at a native American site (Possibly his mother was an archaeologist?) and ended up in a copper kettle used for special ceremonies, and was hit by lightening and he was transformed into a female. IIRC there was some evil men trying to grab the archaeological site for a resort of something. I just can't remember more.

It was a good read and I really want to read it again.

Expiration Date- Or how I Love Being a Radiation Mutant

"The time has come the walrus said" - OK it was the doctor who told me.

Looks like the expiration date on the bottom of my left foot is becoming visible.

I am diagnosed with kidney failure- singular.

The "fun" part of being a mutant is missing parts- and not knowing about it until you are getting in bad shape. I found I was born without a kidney and other internals are not connected where they should have been, or a few internal skeletal structure defects.

Tucker- Time to Continue? Please!

I was re-reading (For the umpthteen time) Ellen Hayes site of Tucker stories again tonight, and realized that it her last note was posted on Sept. 12 2013. (That's 4 years ago yesterday for the math impaired).
I would hope that Ellen would someday (Real soon, PLEASE!) choose to continue the story.
I really miss the adventures, and would really like to see how it ends.

Ellen, if you read this, YOU ARE MISSED!

A gripe about English language usage.

I am getting very frustrated at the lack of spell checking on this site, (and others).
Do people not proof read and spell check before posting?

Lately in many of the stories I read I see the wrong word used or major spelling errors.
Now I am aware that not all people were brought up using the English language. But why not have a native English speaker go over the stories before submission?

I seldom see punctuation errors, which is good.

The Last of My Family

I just got a call this afternoon that the last of my immediate family is dying.
My sister fell out of bed in the care facility, broke her ribs and is in extreme pain. When they went to change her clothing, they found she was bleeding out internally.
Its just a matter of time now. Waiting for the Dr. to arrive and give her some potent pain meds. She is unable to swallow or talk now.
