Can't agree more
My mother certainly did not wear much of it. A bit of lippy once in a while and no more.
She was no great beauty but still did not look for 'help'.
I am not a great beauty either and generally in my day to day life I don't wear any, letting people see me, flaws and all. Especially at age 52, there is less caring for being all 'fluffed' up. Don't get me wrong, I still look no more than about 40 even without makeup (I look about 35 with it) but at least if you wake up in the morning next to me there is no 'SURPRISE!' :).

Like many other women I used more makeup when I was young and didn't need it than now.

looked like he was ready for a bra to go with his make up.
I noticed that what was done varied quite a bit between the men. Some had much more subtle make up put on them, others drastic changes to skin tone were added.
I've always preferred subtle makeup to heavy face painting.
That is so impressive
So people may know lots of women who look like women without make-up. But these guys look like guys without make-up and girls with.
There's hope for me yet.
