Well, Erin's little challenge has sparked my muse back to life. We'll just have to see what comes of it ...

Muses....

Are annoyingly hard to kill; I know, I've stabbed mine more than once, it refuses to die.
Every once in awhile it asks for brains though, and I'm always fresh out.

Silent treatment

I've never been desperate enough to stab my muse. She would've taken that instrument from me and placed it in a very uncomfortable place. The most I've dared is the silent treatment, but doesn't work either. She just keeps whispering these half-formed ideas into my ear until I breakdown, crying, "Tell me more!"

I can't help myself I'm weak!

Good to hear Dorothy!

Your Muse

Well, seeing as it got quite cold for a bit I am not surprised that your Muse decided to come back to you to get warm :)

Disturbing

This is disturbing. I'm busy creating a character who habitually talks to the reader in this way. And on Gwen Brown's blog she refers to 'friendly aliens' tampering with human DNA, which is essentially what happens in the story.

Have all my thoughts become public knowledge? Do they fly out of the windows and materialise in fluffy clouds so huge they're visible for thousands of miles? Has even my secret fondness for Roobarb And Custard been broadcast to the entire human race?

[Editorial team: It has now.]

Or are my ideas not quite as original as I'd like to think?

Ban nothing. Question everything.

Don't you know?

That muses all hangout in the same inter-dimensional bar? They trade tales and dish out the juicy secrets about their humans. As far as you feeling your idea has been spoiled or ruined, please don't. I was just responding to the thought that flew though my not so functional brain cells, (Darn muses I'm telling you!)

I had a dream last night that is tempting me to drop what I'm doing and dive into writing it down. I know I'll lie to myself and say I'm just getting the idea down for later, but it'll capture my attention and I won't be able to work on anything else. The horror, the horror I tell you!.

Please continue your story ...pretty please? I wont' listen to the voices any more! I promise! :)

Secret fondness

Well if no one before now knew of your secret fondness of R&C then the cat is out of the bag now :)
