Christ's love...

...what a delightful example of why folks have trouble finding a reason to believe anything someone like me might say (someone as in transgendered Christian) in regard to faith. The thing about their takeoff on Stonewall is that the folks who started that campaign were speaking from a place of being rejected and despised. The current campaign that you refer to leaves the LGBT community in exactly the same place. Enough to bring me to tears.

Ignorance is...

..... well, Ignorant!!!;0

Like my dear friend Drea, I too am a woman of faith. I know that may not be popular, but it brings me peace somehow?

Thank God, my saviour resides at a different address than the advertisers!;)

Stubbornness takes time to change

There are so many people who are too closed mind to see that there might actually be real genetic or biological reasons behind many transgender issues. And even if there wasn't since when does anybody have the right to decide what is or isn't good in society?

I'm a firm believer of the idea of doing whatever you wish as long as it doesn't hurt someone else. If the critics find what the LGBT community does immoral then it's only because they choose to view it as such. We don't force them harm, rather they harm themselves.

What am I trying to get at? I guess the biggest thing is while we may from time to time get in conflict with these people, it's difficult to try to get them to see our point of view. Only time can change people's opinions. I'm sure in the future transgenderism and homosexuality will be more accepted in global society. I'm so happy Washington State signed the gay marriage act into law, for example, and it seems as if Jenna Talackova will be getting her shot to compete to represent Ms. Canada. For us, it's baby steps, but in 100 years I feel it'll be entirely different. And hopefully with that more and more people will be willing to take that step and become the person they desire to be.

How encouraging that

my lack of sight can now be cured by prayer and counselling. Well, it's also congenital.

They tried to cure me of womanhood on several occasions; a great success that was!

They are just twisted my friends.

I am always underwhelmed by people who want me to say NO to just being my self. I was not put here by the Goddess to lick their boots or fill there shopping list's with what they want. I am here to dance through life loving and learning as much as I can, so I can be of usefulness to the universe and all of the beings who experience the physical school of learning we call life.

They are very blessed by the fact I am truly a person of faith and I trust the Goddess to help them find enlightenment and acceptance of them selves and others. In short "ITS NOT MY JOB" to hide who and what I am, to protect their childish narcissistic egos.

They are blessed by the fact I live my faith and in-spite of their actions I live by WITH HARM TO NONE DO AS YOU WILL. And the law of 3 knowing that all that I do comes back to me three fold.

I can sleep well at night and Love who I see in the mirror in the morning, and raise my children to do the same, It is the best my humble self can do.

I love all of my sister's brothers on this board who live TO THINE OWN SELF BE TRUE. Peace Love and Light to you all.

What I find fascinating...

Every comment, as near as I can tell, was anti-Gay-bashing. They all seem to think that what this Christian organization is doing is wrong. If it had been trans-bashing adverts though, would any of those commenters speak out against it? I find it interesting that anti-gay is unfashionable these days yet anti-trans still is. Hopefully within my lifetime humans will come to the unanimous consensus that sexuality and gender are not choices.

Those comments

The Guardian has a murky history with trans issues, having some trulu shocking columnists. The comments erupted on that story, and a lot of them are actually anti-gay. I put a couple on, but one of the replies I felt I had to do was to 'Sexuality is innate, gender is a social construct'

Bollocks is it. Gender roles yes, gender no.
