Memorable New Years Story

Two friends are exercising in a spa trying to shed a few pounds they gained over the holidays.

Carol smiled as she felt her stationary bike add more resistance to her pedalling. "I'm really going to stick to my resolution to lose weight this year."

Joan nodded while continuing to pump iron.

"No . . . really," Carol insisted, "I've got a plan."

Joan grinned; Carol's plans always added interest to her life. "I'm going to stick to my guns this year; whatever you do, I'm with ya.

"Every time," Carol started, scrunching her forehead to show her resolve. "Every time I'm thinking about driving to a fast food restaurant for burgers and fries I'll give you a call."

"Great," Joan giggled, "We'll car pool to Mickey D's and save money on gas."
