Some of you might have noticed I added in a dummied up newspaper article and included it in the latest chapter of Cassandra (Chapter 8).

It took me a bit of time to work out how to do it, so I thought some of you might wish to tuck this little 'how to' away should you wish to do the same in one of your stories.

Step 1 - Create Clipping
The online resource I used was https://www.fodey.com/generators/newspaper/snippet.asp.

  • Fill in the boxes.
  • Click Generate
  • Then download the jpg image

A word of warning. For copyright (and other) reasons, please don't use real newspapers or real peoples names .

Step 2 - Upload to BCTS

Make sure your clipping has a width of less than 505 pixels so it works best here on BCTS.
Upload your clipping to your storage space here at BCTS. To do so Click on My Account then File Browser then Images, then click Upload and select the clipping image on your computer).

Step 3 - Insert clipping in your story

In the BCTS body editor window click on insert/edit image (or type Alt + M together)
IMG Select.jpg
Select your clipping and double click to bed the link in your story.

Step 4 - Test it shows up

Use the Preview button at the bottom of the page :)

Hope this helps.
